Melanie Pelletier shows up in my extended line married to Moise Ouellette b 1864 at Wood Mt. Sask. This Ouellette line ties into a Petit line from Canada and the Turtle Mountain area and to the Hoffman line from Grand Forks, ND. Nicholas Hoffman was one of the first sheriffs of Grand Forks County. Some of your other surnames look familiar (this is a huge line), I'll keep looking for others. Nancy.

Looking for McKinnons that may have descended from H.E. McKinnon and Gertrude Hoffman McKinnon married in Crookston in 1910. Gertrude is the youngest daughter of Nicholas Hoffman and Isabel Petit Hoffman. Nicholas at one time was the sheriff of Grand Forks Co. and the owner of East Grand Forks Brewery. Looking for any info on Dorothy (or Dolly) Rahders. Does anyone know the name? She married John (Jack) W.E. Burket probably in the late 20's and had one child, Nannette. She died late 1930's-early 1940's, & Jack remarried. She is my wifes grandmother and we have little info on the Rahder family except for a few turn of the century studio photographs from the C.L. Hi: I am the Daughter of Wayne Albin Nordin who was the son of Salomon Albin Nordin that immigrated to the United States in 1917 from Sweden. He is listed with the Ellis Island Website. I am helping a friend with his family line of Toomey's and noticed you had a Mary (Toomey) Nolan who came to Grand Forks Co., N.D. from Simcoe Co., Ontario, Canada, and my friend is also working on an Alfred Eugene Toomey who marr'd a Vivian M. Schrump who was b. 1882 in Larimore, ND. Their son Glen W. Toomey marr'd Beatrice Kathlee Sihler the d/o Wilhelm Frederick Sihler & Elberta Mathewman. This Wilhelm's parents were Charles Sihler & Maria Scholt, this last family being enumerated in the 1881 census of Simcoe (East), Dist. 158, No. Norfolk, Ontario, Canada. It is thought that Alfred Eugene Toomey was b. in 1876 in Baraboo, Saulk, WI and the family later moved to Devil's Lake,N.D.
