WALKER, WARREN, WHALEN posted by Douglas Warren on Friday,
January 1, 1999
- I am looking for information on several WARREN
families who went to the Forest River area of North
Dakota in 1878 1880. The families were those of Jesse
WARREN, the first post master of Grand Forks. The other
families were John C. WARREN who was farming in the
Township of Johnstown, Grand Forks County in 1893.
Another brother, William WARREN and his wife Catherine
WHALEN were also in the area but she died in Forest
River in 1892. The other family I want info on is that
of their sister Abigail WARREN who was married to a
James WALKER. She is buried in Forest River but for some
reason the 1902 death was not recorded. They had five
children and I know the names of three of them. I would
like any info on them, especially marriage info. if
possible. The Walkers were on NW/4 of section 9 in 1893.
I am also looking for any info about Andrew Glen WARREN
who was also living in Forest River in 1887. His wife
was a Cynthia HETHERINGTON. This family later moved to
Bellevue Wa. around the turn of the century. Douglas is
looking for Marriage and Obituary information in Grand
Forks County, ND for the following persons: Abigail
WALKER James WALKER Margaret WALKER Abigail WALKER Jr.
