Looking for ancestors, siblings, and descendants of a John McGinnis, b. abt 1880-1880, died 1914 in railroad roundhouse accident in Grand Forks. John was married to a Amelia (Molly) Weber. John's brother was a Joseph McGinnis. I am researching John for his daughter, Anita, who is now 89 and desperately wants to know something of her father's family or to connect with current relatives. Is there a family member of Dr. Arthur K. SAIKI there who could tell me where he is buried? Was his remains taken back to Hawaii, or is he buried in Grand Forks ? Am looking for information on a Jon/Johan/Johannes/John Hove that settled for a short time in Americus township in Grand Forks County sometime about 1873. They came to Americus from Iowa and finally homesteaded in Minnesota. Would like to know where, legal description, they were in the township, when they arrived, and when they left. Did they own land or rent?

Looking for information on Hans ELGEN and Martinus Pederson ELGIN they were brothers. Hans wife was Gunhild BREKKE. Son, Peder was born at Numedal, Norway and move with his parents to Eastern North Dakota at Reynolds, Grand Forks County in 1882, where they farmed. When Peder married Gunhilda CHRISTOFFERSON they took up farming west of Aneta. In 1913 they moved on to Van Hook. I have no information on Hans and his wife only what has been stated here. I would appreciate any info you might have that will help in the search of my ancestors.
