which was purchase in early 1900. She emigrated from
Norway with her daugher, Bertha and son Ole in 1880 to

1898, is buried in Walle Twp, Thompson Cemetery, &

- LARSEN,
LUNDE posted by Gunnar Lindaas on Monday,
March 22, 1999
- His name is Laurits Larsen Lunde (last name used
could be a combination of the two or most likely only
Lunde). Lunde is the farm name in Suldal, Norway where
his family settled before he emigrated. He was born 28
July 1867 in Vikedal in Ryfylke, Norway. He died after
1937 (most likely in Canada, see below). He left Suldal
(emigrated) in april 1883. The first place he came
to/settled at was Elraeye?/Elroy? in Wisconsin. He also
lived in Hanlye Sask?. He married in Grand Forks North
Dakota. He lived in Hankinson North Dakota around
1894/95. He divorced and moved to Canada, first to
Dawson Creek in British Columbia and later to Sunset
Prairie, BC, where he lived around 1937. I think his
first wife was named Inga Paulson? (or Mathisen). Should
like to have some info about her. Children of Laurits
(two of which is from the first marriage): 1. Martha
Margaret Lunde, born 28 January 1889 Grand Forks North
Dakota?, died 2 November 1980 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She was married 21 March 1910 to Arthur Olaf Olson in
Fergus Falls Minnesota. 2. Theresa Malmwana Lunde, born
24 January 1892, died 1 July 1978 in Pacipe Grove,
California, She was married to Benjamin Edward Carleton.
3. Maria (Anna Marie?)......She lived in Canada with her
father in the late 1930's (Sunset Prairie?)......? .
Maria had a uncle called Kingland, which then most
likely must be on her mothers side. Here is some of the
questions I would like to have some more info on: Who
was his first wife, name and where from? When and where
did they marry?? Who was his second wife?? When and
where did Laurits die? When and where was his third
daughter born? Did she marry (Rudyquist??) or had she
any family?? Appreciate any help that I can get. Gunnar

- I was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota in 1967. I
lived in the state until I was seven-years old. I would
very much like to be in contact with the state of my
birth. What is going on in Grand Forks? I currently
reside fifty miles north of San Francisco, California. I
lived on a street called Fenton Avenue in Grand Forks in
a house located next door to a Mrs. Linfoot. I believe
she is living in Florida now but she seemed to be from a
rather important North Dakota family. I would appreciate
any information about Grand Forks that you may give me.
It's only been recently, when I traveled for the first
time on Amtrak, that I saw that the train has a route
through Grand Forks. I am very interested in visiting my
home state. I'm very proud of it. Sincerely, Jennifer L.
