Trying to establish contact with and to exchange information with any descendants of a JOHAN OLAF BLICHFELDT. JOHAN OLAF BLICHFELDT was born in Drammen, Norway in 1858, the son of MICHAEL HOLST BLICHFELDT and ANDRINE HELENE HILSEN. He emigrated to the USA in 1882. He was a real estate agent in Grand Forks, North Dakota and later in Anderson, California where he died in 1925. His wife was HENRIKKA LEGVAN and it is believed they had two sons, FREDRIK HERHOLDT BLICHFELDT, a pharmacist in North Dakota, and FRERIK ERNST BLICHFELDT.

BROWN,Roy Sr b. 10-19-1886 Leyden N. Dak M Ruvia HERMAN 11-12-1914 lived in Manvel area. His parents were Joseph BROWN b 03-30-1856 in New York and Emeline LYNCH b 06-18-1864 in Pakenham Ontario. Joseph died in 1928 (?) and she 09-08-1947. All are buried in Grand Forks cemetary on Hwy 2. I think Joseph's parents may have also been in the Manvel area but have no info except the name John BROWN and Buffalo, New York. My Mother is Kathleen BROWN youngest daughter of Roy Sr. and Ruvia. Any family information or any suggested sources for info you may have would be greatly appreciated. As my Mom is the youngest she really has very little info and most of what she has is a mess. I am looking for any information on a GG Grand Uncle, William Patrick HOULAHAN, the youngest son of George HOULAHAN and Mary COSTELLO. William P. was born in Nepean township, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada on July 18, 1858. He married Mary Elizabeth TIERNEY on Feburary 24, 1892 in St. Patrick's Church, in Fallowfield, Nepean. Sometime after getting married they moved down to North Dakota. I suspect that they may have followed other friends and relatives that previously settled in Forest Rivers area outside of Grand Forks in the 1880's.
