I'm looking for the exact location of my great grandfather's 320 acre homestead near Reynolds, ND. He purchased 160 A. 10/30/1886 and another 160 A. on 12/13/1891. I believe it is in Grand Forks County, Sec.034 & 026. Township 140, Range N 051 W. They moved from Michigan in 1880 and returned to MI about 1899. My greatgrandmother died in 1894 near Reynolds but I do not know where she is buried. I have two very old pictures from Reynolds, one is of their house. Any help would be appreciated. Marge

ARMSTRONG, MULLEN, NELSON posted by Elizabeth Petschel on Friday, March 17, 2000

I'm looking for a group of families that may have been in Grand Forks between 1880-1900. This would be a grandmother(Jane Armstrong), daughter (Ann Jane Nelson married to Edward Nelson), and grand-daughter (Mary Jane Hart Mullen, married to John Mullen.) I want particularly to find a death certificate for Jane Armstrong who probably died when the family came from Minnesota to Grand Forks. These people disappear from the Minnesota census records for this period of time only to reappear in St. Paul in 1900. I have a great-aunt with a death certificate indicating she was born in Grand Forks. Her name was Elizabeth Mullen, daughter of Mary Jane Hart Mullen Nelson.

BRIGGS, CHAPPELL, FISHER posted by Shannon Korn on Monday, March 20, 2000

I am looking for two different people. One is Addeline Chappell-she married a Fisher. The other is Pearl Briggs and she married a Briggs. They were born in Woonsocket, SD but moved to Grand Forks, ND where they both died. I think Pearl is buried in Grand Forks, but Addie is buried in Souix Fall, SD. Shannon Korn

I would like to purchase copies of my great grandparents names listed on 1885 Territory census listing. They owned 320 acres in Grand Forks County, sections 34 & 26. I would also like copies of plat maps showing this property, anytime between 1836-1899. I would like to see where Michigan township and Americus township are located in reference to Reynolds, ND. I would also like verification of my grandmother's burial in Americus Township Cemetery. She was born Mar 15, 1852 and died 1894. I'd pay for a picture of the grave. I'll gladly pay for all of these photocopies.
