- Am looking for Lunde descendants whose ancestors
settled in the Grand Forks, ND area and emigrated from
the Sarpsborg/Oslo Norway areas. My great grandmother
was a Marie LUNDE who married Lars Loberg. She had a
brother Iver LUNDE who married an Anna and they had
children named Conrad, John, Violet, Elma and moved to
the Los Angeles CA area. The parents stayed in Grand
Forks and I don't know of other siblings at this point.

- Anyone with information regarding either the Archie
Campbell family from either Grand Forks, Minto, or
somewhere the north-eastern area of N.D. please contact
me. I am the great granddaughter of Archie, via his
daughter ELISABETH LENORE CAMPBELL (COOLEY), who married
WINFRED J COOLEY in the Grand Forks area. My mother,
MARGARET JUNE COOLEY, was born in either MINTO or
MINOT... I think it was probably Minto since it is close
to G.F. My mother was born in 1915. My maternal
grandmother's 10 brothers and sisters all migrated out
to Tacoma Washington sometime in the 20's and 30's.

posted by Willis King Nash on
Friday, October 2, 1998
- Willis King Nash and his brother bought adjoining
lots and built homes next to one another in Grand Forks
when they moved their grocery business here from Devils
Lake in 1893 or so. These brothers began the company
that is now the worldwide Nash-Finch Company. We live in
the home of W.K. Nash at 514 S. Fifth Street which was
just purchased by the city and may be slated for
demolition. My appeal is to the family of Willis King
Nash (who may be in the Minneapolis area) or to anyone
who may know their whereabouts. We have the desire to
renovate the property.

- Looking for descendants of the SMITH brothers: Peter,
John, Robert, Merrit, and Lorenza(o). The 1898 obituary
of their mother in Lambton Co., Ontario,Canada, lists
these sons as being from Dakota. I have reason to
believe they were in Grand Forks County, because in
marriage register info for marriage of John, he lists
his residence as Thompson, Dakota. I have not been able
to find Merrit or Lorenza in Canada and wondered if they
may have remained in Dakota?
