- Could you possibly know whom Lauritz Bjerke's parents
were..

- No, I've never found out the names of his parents.
The only things I know about Lauritz and his wife is
that he was born in Norway and she was born in Sweden,
and their parents refused to let them marry in each
other's country. The story of their wedding is that it
took place at the border of Norway and Sweden; he had to
stand in Norway and his bride had to stand in Sweden
during the marriage ceremony. I wish I knew more than
this, but not so far. Are we looking for the same
Lauritz?.

- You can order death/birth certificates online from
the ND Public Health Department at
www.vitalrec@state.nd.us. Do you know the religious
denomination? Many of the rural churches have their own
cemeteries. Try a yellow pages distance search for
"churches" around Thompson..

- Thanks Liz, I am trying to get a full dob for
Alexander Sr. as well as a date of death and place of
death. I do not have a maiden name for Merry A. or d
date or place of death. On all of the kids, I have only
a month and year of birth and while I think they were
all born in ND I don's know what town or city. I also
have no spouses marriage dates, death dates or places.
Since Elizabeth married my Henry Saxon McDonald, I am
most interested in her. The only child I know of was a
male named LaVerne born 11-8-1916. I am sure he was born
in this same area, and he may have died in 1976 in that
same area. I have nothing on a wife or children for
LaVerne. Thanks a million, Mac.
