I am searching for info on my ggrandfather Hans Edward BRATLIE b. 1864 in Hoodal, Norway. He married Gunhild HENDRICKSON (father, Thor HENDRICSKON), who came from Hallingdal, Norway when she was two. They had 3 children in Mekinock, Tonetta, Harvey, and Reuben. They then relocated to Roseau Co., MN and had Clifford, Ruth, Freda and Gilbert (b. 6/24/1911). Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.

In the 1890's my greatgrandmother was supposed to have taken an orphan train or bride transport from NY to North Dakota. She was an orphan and married Charles Bergner 2/14/03, Book #7, 19,322 Grand Forks County. We, of the family, have no other history of her. This is the most recent information we have, we are not even sure of her birthdate or birth place-only that she came from NY but believe it birthdate to be 1882. Can anyone direct me where to start locating info?

Arthur William ALLEN, born 12 Sept 1880 in Grand Forks, ND. Died Feb 1965 in Rochester, MIchigan. He married Mabel Eliza Grabe. The family settled in the Rochester and Detroit area of Michigan. Parents were Clarence Arthur ALLEN and Ella Jane BALLOU. Arthur also had a sister, Alice ALLEN however very little is known about her other than she married a Ralph PERRY.

I'm looking for three Hilsabecks which I believe may have died in Grand Forks Co., ND. It would be after the listing for the ND census of 1920. These people were listed as living in Grand Forks County. The individuals are Albert R. Hilsabeck or census listing for him is A. R. Hilsabeck b. 1881, IA, his wife was Charlott ( ? ) - Hilsabeck, b. 1886, NJ, . . . there were no children listed for this family in the 1920 census. Second person of interest is Clara Johnson- Hilsabeck b. 1896, IA, she was married to Jess Emmett Hilsabeck (who died in the state of Washington in the 50's). Looking for information on Royce Allen who bought 600 acres for a sheep farm about 1883 in Walle or near there, Thompson, ND. His cousin Ed WHipple came from Illinois to help run the farm, Mary Nellie Whipple York, sister of Ed Whipple & wife of Frederick York died there in 1898. Fred York married her sister Lillian Adele, and they had eight children, including Fred, Roland, Maude, Bess, and they moved from the area in 1910 to Medford Oregon where they resided the rest of their lives. Would like to know what happened to Ed whipple, his sisters Sopie Royce Whipple, & Daisy Pamelia, and Royce Allen & his wife Ida Myra Nowlen Allen. Anything appreciated!

Looking for information on family of Allen's & Whipple's in N Dakota 1883 - 1910 approx. Royce Alexander Allen & family had 600 acre sheep farm near Allendale/Thompson. Ed Whipple, Sophia, Daisy his sisters lived near there also. Charles Whipple lived there with his family, & George Allen Whipple lived there with a brother W.W. Whipple. Lillie Adele York lived there with Husband Fred York. Where did these folks live, and do they have descendants in area. Why was Allendale called that? After these Allens?.
