Looking also for Charlotte SHAW who married Henry REEVES (or REEVE) 12/7/1836 in Geauga, OH (they moved to San Jose area of CA in abt. 1850). This is all I have and am trying to make their connection to my husband's g grandfather, Henry Reeve SHAW (m. Elizabeth VALPEY) and their son John Woolsey Shaw (b. 9/13/1887; m. Helen Adelia Farr). HUNTING, MERRILL posted by Jill Hunting Boeve on Monday, January 17, 2000

I am a granddaughter of the late Eunice Merrill HUNTING, born in Painesville, Lake County, Ohio. Eunice Merrill HUNTING's great-grandfather, on a visit to New Orleans, saw a mother and her two children being sold from an auction block. To keep them from being separated from each other, he bought them, brought them home to Painesville, freed them, and found them employment. I read in a book that for four generations the families were friends; I would like to extend friendship in this generation by corresponding with descendants of the woman and/or two children, whose names I do not know. Mrs. HUNTING's father was the Rev. George R. MERRILL, if that is helpful, but I don't know if this story is about her maternal or paternal great-grandfather. Thank you for your assistance.

LARNED, WILSON posted by Sandy Wilson Jackson on Tuesday, February 22, 2000

I am searching for information on the family of William Clayton WILSON. I believe there are at least 2 gentlemen with that name. One would have been born on or about 1857 and died in NYC, buried in the Willoughby cemetery on or about 1923. The second was probably born in some general period around 1837. I do know who the William Clayton WILSON born in 1857 married (Zilla LARNED Wilson) but do not know who the other WCW was married to. Please help. I have run into a complete block on locating this side of my family. Thanks for any help you may provide.

CARNES, RAY posted by K.S. Schumaker on Friday, February 25, 2000

I am looking for the family of Mary (RAY) CARNES. She was the daughter of George and Elizabeth RAY and was born at Leroy in Lake County on 11 April 1841. When she was 15, she married Alfred CARNES at Burton in Geauga County. Alfred had previously been married to Mary's older sister Anna and they had two children who died in infancy and Anna soon followed. After their marriage, Mary and Alfred moved to Sycamore in Wyandot County and raised their family there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PASTOR, PASZTOR posted by William L. Pastor on Monday, February 28, 2000

Looking for genealogy associated with Louis PASTOR (changed spelling to Pastor from PASZTOR). Tried to start with his son Albert Pastor and found what I believe is his data: born 24 Feb 1902, died Oct 1984, soc. sec. 281-03-5744. Have not confirmed if this data on Albert is correct - he is my uncle; his wife Elizabeth lives in Painesville. Louis PASZTOR (PASTOR) (my grandfather) was born in Hungary in 18??. His second marriage was to Susan in Hungary and he brought her to Painesville, Ohio. They had sons, Louis, William Alexander (my father - still living at age 83) and Andrew. My thinking is that if I could trace back from Louis and forward to the present, I would have the "family tree" info I am looking for. Any suggestions on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
