I am trying to prove the parents of Alderman Baker HERRICK, b/ 1800 in NY. He was a ship-builder at Fairport Harbor, Lake Co. He lived in Mentor. I believe his parents are Lebeus HERRICK and Priscilla (WHIPPLE) HAYES HERRICK who were in Geauga Co. in 1810 and 1820. Priscilla's son, Ebenezer Hayes was also in the shipbuilding business with Alderman, and I believe they may have been half-brothers. I think the family came from Rensselaer Co.,NY after the Rev. War.

I am seeking any information on Arch JOHNSON of Sheridan, Ohio. His father was Booker Johnson who was born in Virginia. I do not know his mother's name. He was my great grandfather and he married Sarah SEXTON and had a daughter named Alma. They had another daughter that I know of that raised my grandmother when Sarah and Arch died. Alma was very young when they died. I don't know if they had more children. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for any information on the ancestors of Henry O. WELLS. He was born in 1842 in Ohio- not sure of the county. He married Mariah Louise TRYON (b. February 14, 1849 in Oneida, New York). They had John Harvey (b.1869), George (b.1887), and Mary (b.1880). The family lived in Kirtland, Lake County, Ohio by 1900. I am researching the surname MORRELL for Lake Co., OH. Known family members were in Painesville area from 1830s-1860s and were originally from PA and NY. Robert Monroe MORRELL is listed in the 1850 census. He returned by 1860 to Erie Co., PA. There were others who left for NE Indiana by 1840s. Thank you.

They had two children Elizabeth M. b. 04 June 1895, Edward S. b. Aug. 1896 John and Naomi divorced 2 Dec. 1903, she retained custody of children and remarried Clayton J. GRINNELL on 13 May 1903. John migrated to South Dakota by 1915, and on to north Arkansas by 1928. Who were his parents and siblings? Also looking for any photographs of barbers and barber shops in Lake or Ashtabula Co. 1893-1903 that might he might be in as he was a barber by trade. I am a decendent of his last marriage and will appreciate any information about the SAWDEYs.
