Willard LEVINS and his wife Rachel MCKINLEY came to Lake County about 1838. Oldest child Joshua LEVENS born 3-29-1836, and next child, my greatgrandfather Willard Abel LEVENS born 10-30-1837, both born in Southington, Trumbull County, Ohio. Other children all born in Concord, Lake County: Laura Jane 10-30-1839 (married a man named EDGAR), Harriet Rachel 8-25-1841 (married Norris Romantia Meacham), Newton Orlow 3-5-1851. Wllard LEVENS father, Abel LEVENS died at Concord, Lake County in 1852. Rachel MCKINLEY allegedly related to President William MCKINLEY, though she originally from Armstrong County, Pa. Willard Abel LEVENS entered the Union Army at Cleveland early in the Civil War and exited there at the end of the War. Willard Abel married Sarah Elizabeth SCOTT from Kinsman, Ohio, 5-25-1865, and had two children born there, Franklin Newton 3-1869 and Sarah Scott 1-19-1870. They moved to Parker City, Pa., about 1872 and then to Bradford, Pa. about 1881. Sarah Scott LEVINS got a degree from Oberlin about 1894. Please contact me if any information about any of these people.

Gerrit BRASS lived in Mentor for years; is in the 1820 census listed on your web site. Information is needed on his son Garrey's family. Garrey married Minerva NORTON; they lived in Mentor for a some time. There is reason to believe Garrey died young. We've met a "brick wall" so far with information surrounding Garrey. Minerva later appears using the name of MOSIER.
