Know all men by these presents that we Joseph Murdock
& Richard Hooe of the County of Stafford are held & firmly bound
to Thos. Lud. (Ind.?) Lee Esq & first justice in the commission of the posts for
the said County for & in behalf of himself & the rest of the said
Justices their heirs, Exrs admin & assigns in the sum of one thousand
pounds. To the which[sic] payment well & truly to be made to the said
Thos Lud.(Ind?) Lee we bind ourselves our heirs Exrs & administrators
joyntly & severally, firmly by these presents sealed with our
seals dated this ninth day of May 1750-----------------------------
The condition of the above Obligation is such that if
the above bound Jos. Murdock his heirs Executors or admin do and
shall sell? & truly pay & deliver or cause to be delivered unto Willm
Chapman Orphan of Taylor Chapman deced all such Estate or
Estates as now or are or hereafter shall appear to be due to the
said Orphan when & as soon as he shall arrive to the lawful age
or when thereto require by the Justices of the said County Courts
as also to keep harmless & indemnified the above named and the
rest of the said Justices as their oath & every? of their Exrs & adm
from all trouble & damage that shall or may arise about the said Estate
then this obligation to be void, also to remain in full force.
