"VIRGINIA:
At Rules held in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery of Stafford County, at the Court House of said County, on the first Monday in June, being the 4th day of the month, in the year 1850.

Scythe Tolson, Benjamin Combs, James Tolson, adm’r with the will annexed of George H. Tolson, dec’d, John Cooper and Scythe his wife, Benjamin P. Tolson, George H. Tolson, William Tolson, Fanny Tolson, John R. Fitzhugh, sheriff of Stafford, committee adm’r of John M. Combs, dec’d, the same committee adm’r of Joseph Harrison Combs, dec’d, Nathaniel P. Williams and Mary his wife, William Combs, Roy Combs, Joseph Combs, Cuthbert Combs and Francis his wife, Mary Combs, Angelina Combs, Marcus Combs, Samuel Combs, James Combs, Leslie Combs, Darcus Combs, Caroline Combs, Mark Combs, Alfred Day and Mary Francis his wife, Joseph Williams and Judy his wife, Haden E. King and Eliza his wife, John Tolson and John Williams and Sophia his wife, Defendants.
The Defendants Cuthbert Combs and Francis his wife, Mary Combs, Angelina Combs, Marcus Combs, Samuel Combs, James Combs, Leslie Combs, Darcus Combs, Caroline Combs, Mark Combs, Alfred Day and Mary Frances his wife, Joseph Williams and Judy his wife, Haden E. King and Eliza, his wife, John Tolson and John Williams and Sophia his wife, not having entered their appearance and given security according to the act of Assembly and the rules of this Court; and it appearing by satisfactory evidence that they are not inhabitants of this commonwealth, it is thereupon ordered: That the said defendants do appear here on the first Monday in August next, being rule day, and answer the bill of the plaintiff, and that a copy of this order be forthwith inserted in some newspaper published in the town of Fredericksburg for two months successively, and also posted at the front door of the Court House of said County.
