Looking for birth family and pedigree of Susannah Wilkerson, born 1704 in Bedford, VA. She married William Weatherford Jr. (of New Kent, VA) in 1729 in the Bedford area. Chief Red Eagle (aka William Weatherford) was among her descendants. So am I.

I am interested in the Mayberry family of Bedford county. There has been a lot of information gathered by numerous persons. One of the oddities is that Frederick Mayberry (sometimes known as Jr) is listed as having married Priscilla Yokum (Yoakum) in 1792 in Bedford CO, VA. At that time, he would have been 35 years of age. Has anyone ever run across any documentation of a marriage prior to this one?

Peter Purnal (Purnell) b. abt. 1775 has a marrage record on file to Elizabeth Darlington. I understand there was a probate record from a former wife Phebe Wood.
1. Is there such record, if so how to obtain a copy?

Looking for family: who married into several families in Bedford Co, VA. Children of William Sturman & Martha Criddle of Bedford Co, VA.
1. John b ca 1778 md Nancy Craig, 1803, nothing found;
2. Vintner C. b ca 1780 md Nancy White, 1804, lived in Grayson Co, VA. Census notes there were children in household but by 1840 census he has no children. But Vintner C. Sturman md Penelope Hughes, in 1832; moved to Campbell Co, VA. In his Will he left estate to Penelope's brother Hugh.
3. Anna b 16 July 1782 md James Buchannon, 1801. They moved to Rising Sun, Ohio Co, IN & raised a large family. Other children married in other counties
4. Joel H. b ca 1784 md Phebe Williams in Madison Co, AL. 1819, they died young. Their three children left orphaned and lived with William M. Sturman family in Illinois.
5. William Madison b 28 Feb 1786 md Sarah Hancock-Dabney in Wayne Co, KY 1810, moved to Hamilton Co, IL.
6. Nancy b ca 1788-1792 md a Johnson possibly, no info found for her.
7. Thomas K. b md Hannah Edwards about 1812, can't find a marriage but living in Grayson/Carroll Co, VA. Moved raised a large family in Jefferson Co, TN. This is my family.
8. Frankey b 1792 md William Dalton, lived in Carroll Co, VA.
9. Mildred b ca 1794 md Augustine Smith, Patrick Co, VA, 1815, haven't located info on this family either.
Also, looking for information on Humphrey & Mildred Criddle's family : Daughters listed below: Mary Timberlake, Elizabeth Key, Mildred Kitchen, Martha Stearman, Nancy Jones, Frankey Bailey, Kesiah Huston.

Looking for names of parents of Jacobus Covith Jordan my g.g.g. grandfather who was b. abt 1785 in Bedford County Virginia; m. Martha Patsy Carter d/o of David Carter in 1803. Jacobus died about 1862 in Lawrence County Kentucky. Numerous websites show parents were William Jordan and Lucy Stith Jordan. However, the will of William Jordan, Sr. on record in Breckinridge County from 1817 does not show Jacobus as one of children.
