I am looking for information about John READ who served in the Revolutionary War from Virginia. He possibly had ties to Bedford Co, because of similar names of families there. He had a son by the name of Francis H. Read, born in 1769. I would like to know who John Read married, if he had other children, his birth and death dates, and in what capacity he served in the War.

Looking for information on John RIDER who married Elizabeth SWAIN on February 24, 1802. Elizabeth was the daughter of Charles Swain. John and Elizabeth had one child that I am aware of: John Rider whom I believe married Matilda Markham. Elizabeth married second Thomsa TAYLOR on April 14, 1812. I am looking for the children of John & Elizabeth as well as the children of Thomas & Elizabeth. Also looking to find out if Nancy "Agnes" SWAIN who married Nathaniel MARKHAM is related to Elizabeth and how? I would appreciate the help. Thanks
