Looking for more information on William Whitten JOHNSON (possibly brother of Johnny JOHNSON b. 1810 d. 1876 m. Sallie WILDMAN (daughter of Isreal and Sarah White WILDMAN) 1832 Bedford Co.?)) and Ruth Ann NICHOLS, daughter of Samuel NICHOLS and Mary ? married in 1850 in Bedford Co. VA. Their children are: Edward J. b 1854 d 1922, m. Bettie BURNETTE, Mary S. BARKER, and Rachel ?. William S. b. 1863 d. 1940 m. Frances Ardella WILKERSON. Powhatan m. Victoria S. OVERSTREET, and ? LEFTWICH. Samuel W. b. 1871, d. 1910 m. Blanche Davis PAYNE 1894 (this is my line, what did Grandpa Sam die of?). Russ m. Lennie BULLINGTON, Lockey m. William Henry ARTHUR. Ronie m. Green JOHNSON and ROBERT PAYNE. All the children were born in Bedford CO. VA. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. My Great Grandma just died in Feb. at the age of 98. She was the daughter of Samuel and Blanche JOHNSON.

Looking for anyone descended from Henry W. FRANKLIN and Martha T. HOLT. Henry was born about 1788, in Bedford, Co., and believed to have served in the War of 1812. Martha was born in 1802. They were marriage bonded April 23, 1821, Bedford Co. Their children were Temperance Jane b. Oct. 1823, married Peter Bradley and ?. John Callaway b. Aug 1824, married Louisa F. SAUNDERS and Marcella V. KASEY. (My line). Martha M. b. Oct. 1826 married Robert MATTOX, Jesse H. b. Oct, 1828, Sarah E. b. July 1830 married J. AYERS, James E. b. April 1832, and Benjamin FRANKLIN (still verifing this child). Also looking for the descendants of John Callaway FRANKLIN and Louisa B. SAUNDERS and Marcella V. KASEY. Their issue: William Davis (my line from Louisa, who died in childbirth). Unknow infant born July 1871, John Mchenry(?) born May 21, 1873, Ida M. Dec. 15, 1875, James H. born c.1869, and Norman K. FRANKLIN born c. 1872. I am seeking the parents of Henry W. FRANKLIN. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you,

I would like to find out any information on the KEENEY/ YOAKUM family from Bedford County, Virginia. Peter KEENEY and Ann Yoakum KEENEY lived in Bedford Co. in 1767. Their son, Michael KEENEY, was born on March 22, 1767 in Bedford Co. They also had sons, Moses, and Daniel. I would appreciate if someone could give me information about them. Thank you.

Three McGinnis marriages are listed in the Bedford Co Marriage Bonds: John McGinnis & Mary Huston in 1784, Nathaniel McGinnis & Polly Reedy in 1813, and Nicholas McGinnis & Frances Webb in 1814. Are Nathaniel McGinnis and Nicholas McGinnis brothers? Are John McGinnis and Mary Huston their parents? Are Nathaniel McGinnis and Polly Reedy the parents of William H. McGinnis who was born 1817 in Christian Co, KY? Any help with these questions would be very much appreciated. Will be happy to exchange information.

I am searching for the parents and/or siblings of Alfred BUTLER, born in VA around 1800-1805. Alfred married Catherine (perhaps WADE?) also born in VA around 1805. The two oldest sons of Alfred and Catherine were Braxton (b. abt. 1822) and James K. (b. abt. 1823) both born in Bedford County, Virginia. Other children of Alfred and Catherine were Talitha, Eliza, Wade Hampton, Demarques, Jerome, and Julia. Alfred and Catherine BUTLER were living in Smith County, Tennessee, by the time of the 1830 census. Any information will be greatly appreciated!

Looking for information on the parents and siblings of Mary J. Hurt. Born between 1781 and 1788 in Bedford County. Also known as Nancy Hurt. Married Littleberry Stone in Bedford County on November 12, 1809. Died in Henry County. Father's name is James Hurt, but I have no idea of who her mother was or how James Hurt connects with the other Hurts of Bedford County.

I am interested in finding information of MORGANs in Bedford Co. VA. PETER N. MORGAN, b.@ 1814, Bedford Co. came into Meade Co. KY @ 1830 or so. He married in Meade Co. & reared his family. I do not have parentage of PETER N MORGAN. A family outline located in files in Meade Co. KY suggests that MORGAN families there were descendents of MORGAN MORGAN of Bedford Co. I am interested if anyone is researching this particular family line. Will share any information I have.
