Seeking information on ggggggrandparents: Charity Ann HUNTER m. Richard MARTIN.
Charity was born ca 1765 in Bedford Co., possibly to Andrew & Mary HUNTER. Charity
had brothers Andrew, Peter, George, Matthew, and John, all of whom settled along the Mayo river.
Charity and Richard probably married after he completed his service in MD and he moved to VA
enroute to NC. To the best of my knowledge there is no record of a pension being granted -
though he supposedly gave an affadavit in Rockingham Co. Court. Any info on the HUNTER
family - some of whom I think remained in Bedford Co., would be appreciated. Thanks

Noah, Alexander, Jewell (Juel), & Powell; and 3 girls: Sarah Jane, Elizabeth, & Jemima -
the last child born in 1831). I've been trying to find a line on this family prior to Reesden
(or Risden), but so far I've come up blank. There is no mention of Reesden in the 1810 Census
of Montgomery Co., VA. Family oral history has it that Risden and "his brothers"
moved into Montgomery County from down around Roanoke/Bedford, VA. So far this has been the end
of the line for me. Anybody having anything on Risden (Reesden) RICHARDSON would be a
welcome sight! There were also a Jacob and a Soveron "RICHESON"
(RICHARDSON) listed along with "Risden" in the 1820 Census - not sure if there
was a connection, and as I said this has been the end of the line for me. Thanks for any
information.

Elizabeth's parents and where they were from? Since her first son had the middle name of Mosby,
I suspect it MAY have been her maiden name. My ancestor Sarah GATHRIGHT married Edwin
MOSELEY in Bedford County in the 18th century. Can anyone identify the relationship of
Edwin to Anne MOSELEY (daughter of Henry MOSELEY), who married Thomas
HARDING in Northampton County in the mid 1600s? Any help gratefully received. Will share
