Hall County Whisker Club

This page is about a social organization called Whisker Club of Hall County, Nebraska.

WELCOME!

Welcome to the Hall County Whisker club of 1932. These pages follow a publicized booklet for the members of the club in the summer of 1932 when the club was created to celebrate the 4th of July and the founding of Hall County---its 75th Anniversary. On May 15, 1932 the “Whisker Club” declared its official organization where men of the county were to abstain from shaving during their membership and to abide by the rules of the club. By the time this booklet was published, the club became popularized by other communities in Nebraska. We hope you’ll enjoy reading these many pages about the club and see if one, or two, of the approximately 2800 members are one of your ancestors. Enjoy, and thank you for your patron.

Whisker Club in the News

Since the creation of this club in 1932 there's been much news about this organization, though some of the news stated that this club grew to about 1300 locals, but when you read through the booklet (on the right side) it'll show that there were approxiatemently 2800 members who joined this club as they celebrated the occasion that year.
