GIESE, KLIPSTEIN, KLOTZ, LEHMAN, LUETSCHER, MUELLER, PETZKE, ZELLHOEFER, ZICK posted by Ron Klotz-Zellhoefer on 12/13/02

My g.grandfather George Martin Klotz Sr & his twin sister Katherine "Sophie" Klotz b.9 Sep 1858 in Sullivan Twp, Jefferson Co, WI; then about 1862 they were adopted by Melchoir & Katherine KLOTZ. Their natural mother, Elizabeth "Anna?" Pfeifer Zellhoefer died in that childbirth. Also found living in Jefferson County at that time were MUELLER, GIESE, and LEHMAN, all related surnames in Sauk Co. I'm trying to discover just how the Klotz's might have learned of these kids being available quite a distance away (in those days, anyway), and how that connection was made. .... and hi to my old friends there in Honey Creek and PdS.
