I am seeking information about my GGgrandather WILLIAM FARNUM. He was born in Massachusetts about 1794 and is listed in the Sauk County Census for 1850 and I believe died in Merrimac on August 1, 1877.I am paricularly interested in seeing if there is any information on where he was born in Massachusetts so I can trace the chain back there. Buried at St. Luke's Cemetery in Franklin Twp. Sauk Co. WI is Richard S. Meister and his children : Kathleen E., Karen M., Robert J., Brian R., Colleen L., and Daniel A. I am looking for the newspaper article of the accident that claimed their lives in 1960 on Highway 23. Richard was married to Lorraine L. Stoltz. The accident happened when a trailer from an oncoming car became disengaged and struck the Meister vehicle. Looking for the article and date of the accident, and for what happened to Lorraine.
