Can anyone tell me why the village of Plain was originally called the Town of Cramer's Corners? I am interested since an ancestor (ggg-gfather), Jeremiah Cramer, is found in the 1860 Sauk Co. census in Franklin (Plain post office). He was born in Pennsylvania, married Ester Green in Richland Co., Ohio. Next door to Jeremiah in 1860 is a Solomon Cramer. If anyone can shed some light on the Cramers of Sauk County, and also the history of Cramer's Corners, it would be most appreciated. Thanks!

WERTH, RADLOFF, BRANDT, SCHILLING, DONAT, GUDENSCHWAGER -- Wishing to communicate with anyone researching these names in Sauk County, Wisconsin. They were primarily involved in dairy farming and the creamery business in the very earliest years. I am certain there are present day ancestors still living in Wisconsin.

I am looking for the family of Edna Hatch or Jessied Martininy that lived in Baraboo in 1911. I have a neat old postcard written by Edna to her friend Jessie. The old card also mentions the Finn's Club. Would love to hear from someone that knew any of these two yound girls. Regards, Pat France from Portland, Oregon
