RAGOZZINO, Emilia

Emilia Ragozzino, 90, wife of the late Jerry Ragozzino, died Dec. 2, 1982, at her residence. Mrs. Ragozzino was born in Italy and moved to Phoenix from New York in 1946. She is survived by her brother, Anthony Araby of Carmel, CA; and several nieces and nephews in California and Massachusetts. Mass was at St. Mark's Church on N. 30th St. 12/4/1982.

RAINBOW, Ruth A.

Services were held today for Ruth A. Rainbow, 74, a native of Ohio and former Mesa resident. Mrs. Rainbow died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1982, in Houston, Texas. RAISCH, Albert G., 85

Services for Albert G. Raisch, 85, a farmer and a 24-year resident of Mesa, were Sunday in St. Lukes Lutheran Church, 807 N. Stapley Drive. Raisch, who was born in Ackley, Iowa, and moved to Arizona in 1958, died Thursday in a Valley hospital. Survivors include his wife, Lydia; a daughter, Virginia Rabenhorst, Gaithersburg, Maryland; a sister, Minnie Roth, Bay City, Michigan; and three grandchildren. Camp Verde -- Gladys Ralston, 51, a lifelong Arizona resident, died Nov. 24, 1982, at her home. Fidel Ramirez, 81, who had been a farm laborer, died Sat., Oct. 23, 1982, in his home. He was born in Durango, Mexico, and moved to Phoenix 35 years ago from Texas. RAMIREZ, Jesus

Guadalupe - Jesus Ramirez, 72, a lifelong Arizona resident, died Dec. 28, 1982, at Maricopa Medical Center. Mr. Ramirez, of Guadalupe, was born in Tucson and was a farm laborer. Mass for Juan F. Ramirez, 64, who had been in the business of installing floor coverings for 25 years, was in St. Agnes Catholic Church. Ramirez died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1982, in Show Low. RAMM, Fredrick C., Jr.

Fredrick C. Ramm, Jr., 73, an insurance adjustor for Home Insurance Co. for 47 years, died Sat., Oct. 16, 1982, in his home. He moved to Sun City seven years ago from his native New Jersey. He was a member of All Saints of the Desert Episcopal Church of Sun City. In Hasbrouck Heights, N.J., he was a member of the Town Council, Corona Lodge No. 261 F&AM, the Sun City Square Club, and the El Zaribah Shrine 4. He was awarded the DeMolay Cross of Honor in 1982 for his work with boys in Glendale. RANGER, Ada D.

Apache Junction -- Ada D. Ranger, 76, a retired nurse with Pinal General Hospital, died Dec. 24, 1982, at Mesa Hospital Medical Center. Mrs. Ranger was born in Cass County, Michigan, and moved to Arizona from Fort Wayne, Indiana, 10 years ago. RANKIN, Cecil Dale

Cecil Dale Rankin, 51, who had been a maintenance supervisor with the Carnation Co., died Dec. 29, 1981, in Maryvale Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Rankin, 2021 N. 37th Drive, came to Phoenix in 1937 from his native Oklahoma. Curt Rast, 58, an office manager with Fruehauf Corp. died Dec. 26, 1982, at Good Samaritan Hospital. Cleo A. Ratliff, 81, of Tempe, a retired clerk for the federal government, died Nov. 24, 1982, in Los Flores Nursing Center, Mesa. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, and moved here five years ago. Nancy Maxine Rauch, 60, who came to the Valley 34 years ago from Iowa and retired after 44 years as a secretary for Valley National Bank, died January 5, 1982. Howard E. Rayburn, 64, who worked as an administrative courier for Childress Buick for 32 years, died Nov. 25, 1982. He was a past president of the Arizona Owners and Drivers Association and a member of the United States Auto Club and the Arizona Racing Association. RAYMOND, Beatrice

Mass for Beatrice Raymond, 54, who had been a supervisor for an envelope manufacturing company, was in Maryvale Chapel & Mortuary, 6901 W. Indian School. Mrs. Raymond moved to Phoenix in 1971 from Florida and died Dec. 30, 1981, in Maryvale Samaritan Hospital. She was born in Massachusetts. RAYNER, Jack Marvin, Sr.

Jack Marvin Rayner, 66, owner of Jack Rayner & Son Tripel R Farms of Litchfield Park and Blythe, CA, died Wed., Oct. 13, 1982, in Avondale. He was a member of Elks Lodge No. 1961, the Farm Bureau and Calcot Cotton. Survivors include his wife, Dale; son, Jack, Jr.; four sisters; a brother; and two grandsons. RAZZANO, Mario Michael

Mario MIchael Razzano, 62, a Naples, Italy native, came to Phoenix nine years ago from Warren, Ohio. He was a retired steel mill crane operator and died Nov. 21, 1982, at John C. Lincoln Hospital. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 75, VFW Post No. 9400, Disabled American Veterans, Fraternal Order of Police, and Moose Lodge. George Reyman, 65, a retired laboratory technician with Sperry Corp., died Dec. 17, 1982, at Glendale Samaritan Hospital. Simon and Jude Cathedral and was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Knights of Columbus. RHODES, Albert W.

Prescott -- Albert W. Rhodes, 99, retired prospector and miner, died Oct. 28, 1982, at Yavapai Community Hospital. Mr. Rhodes was born in Reeding, Michigan, and moved to Arizona in 1889. He served in the Arizona National Guard and the 1st Illinois Cavalry during a Mexican border skirmish in 1916. He prospected for gold in Arizona and northern California and later worked at the Vulture Mine in Wickenburg. He was a member of First Families of Arizona and was member and last president of the Arizona Pioneers Association. He is survived by his wife, Orpha; daughters, Ellen McGowan, Elaine Zimmerman and Eva Jones (funeral announcement says "Eva Johns"; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two nephews in California. RHODES, Donna Jo

Services for Donna Jo Rhodes, 29, who attended Wilson Elementary School in her native Phoenix, will be in A. L. Moore & Sons Memory Chapel, 333 W. Adams. Mrs. Rhodes, 3341 W. Willetta, was injured in an auto-pedestrian accident December 31, 1981, in Devine, Texas, and died January 1, 1982, in the Air Force Hospital at San Antonio, Texas. She is survived by her husband, George; children, Frances Askren LaMay, Lyle Lee Askren and Donell Joe Askren; mother, Patsy McCartney; father, Gene Pittman; a grandmother, Grace Stewart, all of Phoenix; several half-sisters and half-brothers. RHUART, John Holmes

John Holmes Rhuart, 76, a Phoenix banker and a founder, past president and past chairman of the board for Desert Botanical Garden, died Nov. 16, 1982. He was a lifelong Phoenix resident and was past senior vice president of Valley National Bank when he retired in 1971 after 25 years with the bank. He joined the bank in 1947 after serving in World War II. He was a graduate of Phoenix College, University of Santa Clara and the School of Mortgage Banking at Northwestern University. Mr. Rhuart was nationally known for his 3-acre terraced garden "Las Palmas Altas" on the side of Camelback Mountain. He had a similar garden at his second home in Ensenada, Mexico. He was vice presidnet and co-founder of the Arizona Humane Society, past president of the Valley Field Riding and Polo Club, and former chairman of the Maricopa County Chapter of the American Red Cross. sisters, Nancy Rhuart Shirley of Phoenix and Dorothy Rhuart Allard of Mexico. brother, Leslie H. RIBERA, Romulo

Romulo Ribera, 90, a concert violinist, died Dec. 5, 1982, at a local hospital. He was born in Spain and toured Europe and Africa as a violinist before moving to New York. While a concertmaster in Capetown, South Africa, he met his wife, Erica, a Russian-born dentist who later taught Spanish in schools in Coolidge and was an interpreter for the United Stations. The Riberas moved to Arizona in 1930s. Mrs. Ribera died in 1971. St. Francis Cemetery. 12/9/1982.

Lois A. Rice, 61, of Phoenix, an electronics assembler, died Jan. 30, 1982, in Phoenix Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Rice was born in Wisner, Nebraska, and came to Arizona 16 years ago. Sun City -- Bernard L. Richardson, 85, a foreman for Lackwana Railroad in New Jersey for 46 years before retiring in 1961, died Oct. 29, 1982, at Boswell Memorial Hospital. Mr. RIchardson was born in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, and moved to Arizona 21 years ago from New Jersey. He was a member of United Church of Sun City. She worked in retail sales for many years and was a former member of the Scottsdale Republican Women. She was a Virginia native and moved to Arizona from Ohio in 1973. Edwin J. Richter, 71, who had been a dentist in Chicago for 43 years, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 1982. Mr. Richter moved to Sun City five years ago from his native Chicago. He was a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School. Survivors include his wife, Ellen; a daughter, Janice Baran; a son, Donald; two sisters; and six grandchildren.
