Gregory Michael Yancy, 22, a cook for Sizzler Steak House, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1982, in a Valley hospital. He was a native of Phoenix and attended Washington High School. Survivors include his parents Suzanne and Farrell Yancy; three brothers; two stepsisters; and grandparents. Services were in Trinity United Methodist Church. YANEZ, Matilde

Matilde Yanez, 79, who had taught nursing at St. Joseph's Hospital, died Sat., Oct. 16, 1982, in her Phoenix residence. Miss Yanez was a native of Arizona and attended Phoenix Union High School and Northern Arizona University. She was a U.S. Army nurse during World War II. Survivors include a sister and two brothers. 10/18/1982.

YAREMCZUK, Mary

Mary Yaremczuk, 89, 1015 E. Moreland, died Fri., Dec. 3, 1982, at Phoenix Nursing and Convalescent Center. Aunt of John Ollyr, Milwaukee, WI; cousin of George Yaremczuk, Pennsylvania. She was born in the Ukraine and moved to Phoenix from Milwaukee in 1960. Trisagion service was at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1102 N. 10th St.. Interment Greenwood Memorial Park. 12/7/1982.

YATES, Alvin F.

Alvin F. Yates, 75, a former railroad clerk, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 1982, in his Sun City residence. Services for Yates, who moved to Sun City in 1971 from his native Chicago, were in Lundberg's Golden Door Chapel, Youngtown. He was a member of Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church, Fairway Recreation Center and the Railroaders Club. He was a 50-year Mason and member of Maine Chapter No. 257 Park Ridge, Illinois.
