He was born in Sicily and moved to Arizona from New York four years ago. He was a member of the VFW in Staton Island, N.Y. GALBRAETH, Daisy D.

Mina V. Gale, 81, a homemaker, died Oct. 8, 1982, in a Valley hospital. She was born in Harrison, Michigan, and moved to Arizona nine years ago. GALSKY, Bessie

Bessie Galsky, 86, died Nov. 22, 1982. Mrs. Galsky had moved here from Texas and had lived in the Valley for six years. Member of B'nai B'rith, Hadassah and the Order of the Eastern Star. GALVAN, Cleofas

Cleofas Galvan, 83, was born Texas and died at a local hospital here Nov. 14, 1982. He moved to Arizona 14 years ago and was a farm laborer. Darline E. Garmon, 49, was born in Rock Island, Illinois, and died Oct. 5, 1982, in a Valley hospital. Graveside services were at Greenwood Memorial Park. Evangeline L. Garrison, 64, died Monday, Oct. 18, 1982, in a Valley nursing home. She was born in Clifton and attended Morenci schools and was a 1937 graduate of Arizona State University. She taught in Mesa, Morenci and Collidge before moving to Tempe where she taught elementary school for 24 years. Ina S. Garrison, 81, was born in Hanover, Jefferson County, Indiana, and died Oct. 11, 1982, in a Valley nursing home. She moved to Arizona in 1974 from Cleves, Ohio. Russell Herman Gartz, 77, was born in Detroit and died Oct. 10, 1982, in a Valley nursing home. He moved to Sun City 11 years ago from Ohio and was a member of Lakeview Methodist Church. Sun City -- Nola I. Gaukel, 63, a Sun City resident for eight years, died Nov. 24, 1982, in St. Lukes Hospital Medical Center. Mrs. Gaukel was born in Powell, Nebraska, and moved to Sun City from Bellevue, Wash. She was a charter member of the Sun City Elks Auxiliary and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, American Contract Bridge League, Sun City Ladies Golf Association, Elks bowling league and the Washington State Social Club. Glendale -- Dan Gerba, 68, of 5948 W. State Ave., who worked for the Glendale Parks and Recreation Department for 16 years before retiring, died Nov. 23, 1982. GERSTEN, Linda

Scottsdale -- Linda Gersten, 66, who organized the first debutante cotillion for the Tucson Symphony in 1957, died Jan. 4, 1982, in John C. Lincoln Hospital. Mrs. Gersten, 7308 E. Montebello, came to Tucson in 1954 from New York City. She had been an advertising and fashion model in New York City and later appeared in several Paramount Pictures, including a Jack Benny film. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and recently moved to Scottsdale from Tucson. Camp Verde -- Cora Mae Gifford, 87, of Camp Verde, died Dec. 21, 1982, in Marcus J. Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Gifford was born in Pleasanton Valley, N.M., and moved to Arizona in 1974. She resided in Camp Verde since 1974 and was a member of the Senior Citizens Club of Camp Verde. Nellie L. "Mimi" Gill, 91, a dress designer and seamstress for many Phoenix pioneer families, died Nov. 17, 1982, at East Mesa Care Center. Mrs. Gill, who formerly lived at 1624 W. Lewis in Phoenix, was born in Stonewall County, Texas, and lived in Phoenix since 1918. Survivors include a grandson, Gene B. Tolle; and three great-grandsons. GIRARDI, Joseph Dominick

Pinetop -- Joseph Dominick Girardi, 39, counselor and head football and wrestling coact at Show Low High School, died Dec. 7, 1982, from injuries sustained in an auto accident near Winslow. He was born in New Kensington, PA. He attended Eastern Arizona Junior College in Thatcher and graduated from Southwestern State University in Weatherford, OK, with a bachelors degree in business in 1967 and his masters degree in counseling in 1969. He taught and coached at Leoti, Kansas, Blue Ridge High School in Lakeside and Baker University in Baldwin, KS, before moving to Show Low in 1980. He and his wife owned and operated the El Rancho Restaurant in Pinetop. He is survived by his wife, Maria; daughters, Sylviana Lynn, Cheryl Ann and Rica Rae; son, Frank B.; two sisters and a brother. 12/9/1982.

Ernest Gissel, 73, was born in New York City and died Oct. 17, 1982, in a Valley hospital. He moved to Arizona in 1928 and had been an electrical engineer with Arizona Public Service for 37 years. He attended grade school in Laveen and was a graduate of Phoenix Union High School and the University of Arizona. GITTNER, Fred C.

Fred C. Gittner, 81, was a native of Phoenix. He died Oct. 12, 1982, in a Valley hospital. He retired in 1961 after 20 years as an Arizona highway patrolman. Sun City -- Elizabeth V. Glass, 86, a former stenographer in Illinois, died Nov. 23, 1982, in Boswell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Glass, of 10027 Deanne Drive, was born in St. Anne, Illinois, and moved to Sun City in 1964 from Flossmore, Illinois. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Alexander, of Ohio. Mesa -- Kelley E. Glendinning, 33, of 1135 E. Halifax, a pilot for Sunwest Airlines, died December 31, 1981, from injuries received in a plane accident. Mr. Glendinning was born in Liberal, Kansas, and came to Arizona two years ago. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Glendale -- Services were in Arkansas for Eve Godbehere, 87, a 35-year resident of Arizona who died Nov. 14, 1982, at Phoenix Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Godbehere, a bookkeeper, was born in Moberly, Missouri. Survivors include her son, Garry; a daughter, Jenaie Hogg; a sister, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. GOETSCHIUS, Ora B.

Ora B. Goetschius, 92, 1932 E. Harvard, died Nov. 23, 1982. Mrs. GOetschius lived in Arizona eight years and was a member of the Rebecca Lodge and the First Congregational Church.
