Glendale -- Marion Carol Lacey, 57, a nine-year Arizona resident, died Nov. 17, 1982, at Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was born in Oakland, Calif., and moved to Phoenix from Africa. She is survived by her husband, John E.; daughters, Rachael J. Lacey and Carol R. Scharf; sons, John S. and Mark D.; mother, Jessie M. Chambers; and two brothers. LACY, Pat

Pat Lacy, 63, a retired employee with Jarrett's Hardware, died Dec. 3, 1982. Mr. Lacy was born in Harrison, Nebraska, and moved to Arizona in 1970. He was a farmer, carpenter, and hardware store owner in Nebraska. He was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church Layman's League. Survived by his wife, Melba; daughters, JoAnn Bissey and Carol Wheeler; a sister; and five grandchildren. 12/5/1982.

LADMAN, Harry Laverne

Sun City -- Harry Laverne Ladman, 76, who was a high school principal and coach at Blencoe, Iowa, died Nov. 20, 1982, at Boswell Memorial Hospital. Mr. Ladman was born in Castana, Iowa, and moved to Sun City in 1974. He was a Mason and graduated from Iowa State University in 1932. He joined the Farmers Home Administration in 1936 as a county supervisor, retiring in 1968. After retiring he worked in real estate before moving to Sun City. He is survived by his wife, Amy; daughter, Jan Bancroft;son, Dr. Jerry Ladman; and six grandchildren. Memorial services were Friday at Lakeview United Methodist Church, 10298 Thunderbird Blvd. Arrangements were made by Lundberg's Golden Door Chapel. 11/23-24/1982.

LaFOLLETTE, John Forrest

John Forrest LaFollette, 74, who had been a pipe fitter for Honeywell in Kansas City, Missouri, for 25 years, died Monday, Oct. 25, 1982, in his Sun City residence. He was born in Knox County, Illinois, and moved to Sun City in 1978 from Prairie Village, Kansas. He was a member of the United Church of Sun City, the Saguaro Chapter of the F.A.R., and the Sun City Men's Golf Association. Survivors include his wife, Betty of Sun City, daughters, Darcy Gerhard of Colorado, Betsy Snyder of Kansas, Amy Edmondson of Glendale, AZ; brother, R. Sun City -- Betty S. LaFrance, 60, a former Maryland schools art teacher, died Dec. 18, 1982, at Boswell Hospital. Mrs. LaFrance was born in Hinsdale, IL, and moved to Sun City West from Littleton, CO, in 1980. She was a graduate of the University of North Carolina and a mmebr of the Sun City West Weaver's Guild, Lapidary Club, Rockhounds Club, and golf and bowling clubs. LAKEBERG, Wilford

Mesa -- Wilford Lakeberg, 77, of 918 W. Kiowa Ave., a retired carpenter, died January 2, 1982, in Mesa Christian Home. Mr. Lakeberg came to Mesa five years ago from Gary, Indiana. LAMM, Alta Alice

Alta Alice Lamm, 88, who had worked for McKean's Laundry and Airesearch, died Sat., Oct. 9, 1982, in Phoenix. Mrs. Lamm was born in Roseburg, Oregon, and moved to Phoenix in 1919 from Los Angeles. She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis. Survivors include her daughters, Virginia Ghio, Mary Deans and Marjorie Gleason; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services for Charles Lane, 58, who had been district sales manager for the Kenna Metal Co. in his native Brownsville, Pennsylvania, will be today in Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway. LAVENDER, Daniel, Sr.

Whiteriver -- Services for Daniel Lavender, Sr., a welder and heavy equipment operator for Pinetop Logging Co., will be Monday at Whiteriver Lutheran Church. LAWHON, Marion Petra

Marion Petra Lawhon, 68, a registered nurse at St. Luke's Hospital for many years, died Tues., Oct. 19, 1982, in Salinas, California. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and came to Arizona 25 years ago. Member of D.E.S. and Trinity Cathedral and was active in the Republic Party. Luke Francis Lawlor, 77, who managed several restaurants until he retired in 1963, died Nov. 21, 1982, at Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was born in Waterbury, Conn., and moved to Phoenix from Claremont, N.H. in 1955. He served in the Army during World War II. Glendale -- Charles C. Lawrence, 92, of 7138 N. 45th Ave., who owned the Lawrence Grocery Store at Third Street and Clarendon until he retired in 1950, died Nov. 18, 1982, at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Cincinnati and moved to the Valley 36 years ago. He was a Mason. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; daughter, Lelah N. Duvall; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. LAWRENCE, Kennedy R.

Mesa -- Kennedy R. Lawrence, 85, was born in Woodville, Michigan, and died in Mesa Nov. 25, 1982. He moved to Arizona in 1956. He was a retired deputy superintendent of police in Detroit, a member of the First Methodist Church of Mesa, the Retired Policemen's Association and El Zaribah Shrine Temple. LAWSON, Joel Nelson, Sr.

Memorial services for Joel Nelson Lawson, 50, who worked as a welder for Magma Copper Co. in San Manuel, were in Mercer Mortuary Chapel, 1511 E. Thomas. Mr. Lawson died Jan. 27, 1982, in his San Manuel home. He came to Arizona 13 years ago from his native Kansas. He was a Marine Corps veteran of Korea and a member of the Elks and Moose in San Manuel. Sun City -- Geraldine Mafalda Laxton, 79, a retired credit manager, died Dec. 17, 1982, at Boswell Hospital. Mrs. Laxton was a Hastings, MI, native and moved to Sun City from Detroit in 1970. She was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church, Order of Eastern Star, Oriental Shrine Sphinx Court No.65 and the State Federation of Garden Clubs in Michigan. She was past president of Qadash Temple Daughters of the Nile No. 35, I.O.S. Sun Unit and the Society of Engineers Wives in Detroit. She is survived by her husband, Amon. Tempe -- Paul F. Lee, Sr., 79, a retired foreman with Sears Roebuck Co., died Dec. 27, 1982, at Hayden Manor. LENIHAN, William H.

Services for William H. Lenihan, 83, who had worked for Five Points Ice Co. and DeNinno Ice Co. before retiring at age 75, were in Camelback Sunset Chapel, 301 W. Camelback. Mr. Lenihan died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1982. He was born in Perry, Iowa, and moved to Phoenix from Indianapolis 46 years ago. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Luke Greenway American Legion Post No. 1. LENSING, Arthur G.

Arthur G. Lensing, 85, who had been a caretaker for Benedictine Convent in Tucson, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1982. Mr. Lensing lived in the residential facilities at Sacred Heart Home Chapel. He was born in Festina, Iowa, and moved to Tucson in 1953. He moved to Phoenix in 1968, returned to Tucson and then moved back to Phoenix in 1977. Survivors include three brothers. Adeline Lenz, 65, a registered nurse, died Dec. 1, 1982, at Veterans Administration Medical Center. Miss Lenz was born in North Dakota and moved to Arizona 22 years ago.
