TANK, Arthur R.

Peoria -- Arthur R. Tank, 75, who retired after 26 years with Old Toledo Scales Co. and came to Phoenix in 1965, died Jan. 27, 1980, in Boswell Hospital. Wife, Eloise; children, Delores Yager and William; two brothers; five grandchildren. Published 1/29-30/1980.

TAPIA, Francisco B.

Guadalupe -- Francisco B. Tapia, 86, who retired after 42 years with Southern Pacific Railroad, died Oct. 2, 1980, in Chandler Community Hospital. Mr. Tapia was born in Mexico and lived most of the time in Tucson, coming to Arizona 80 years ago. Children, Esther Martinez, Frances Mendoza, Robert, Manny and Hector; 11 grandchildren. Mass was in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Graveside rites were in Holy Hope Cemetery, Tucson. 10/3/1980.

TAYLOR, Frances B.

Apache Junction -- Frances B. Taylor, 69, who retired as the public librarian in Mountain View, Wyoming, died March 12, 1980. She is survived by her daughters, Elaine Nordberg, Carolyn Nelson and Suzanne Johnson; seven grandchildren; a sister and a brother. Memorial services were in John Calvin Presbyterian Church. 3/14/1980.

TELLEZ, Eulalila

Eulalila Romero Tellez, 74, a former restaurant owner, including the Southern Buffet, died Oct. 5, 1980, in Mesa Lutheran Hospital. Mrs. Tellez, 6052 S. 20th St., was born in Morenci and was brought to the Valley as a child. She is survived by children, Frances Vasquez, Larry, Roman, Ben and Larry; four sisters; three brothers; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Rosary will be today in Mortensen Kings Funeral Center, 1020 W. Washington. Mass will be Friday in Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, 909 E. Washington. TERRY, Lynn

Graveside services for Lynn Terry, 90, who died Oct. 1, 1980, in Phoenix Nursing & Convalescent Center, were in Greenwood Memorial Park, 2300 W. Van Buren. Mrs. Terry came to Phoenix from Missouri 30 years ago. She was a business executive for Beta Sigma Phi Sorority from 1933 to 1956 and founding president of Nu Phi Mu. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Stuart Kay and two grandchildren. 4 Oct. 1980.

THOENY, Dr. Oscar Walter

Dr. Oscar W. Thoeny, 77, formerly chief of staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, died Oct. 9, 1980, in his home. Dr. Thoeny, an opthalmologist, earned his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He was born in Alma, WI. He did his residency at the Naval Hospital, San DIego, and in 1942 served as an Army doctor with the rank of colonel at William Beaumon General Hospital, El Paso, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son, Bruce; a sister and five grandchildren. The Arizona Republic Sunday, Oct. 12, 1980.

THOMAS, Emery B.

29 Apr 1941 - 4 Oct 1980
Dilkon -- Emery B. Thomas, 39, was killed Oct. 4, 1980, in a train accident in Holbrook. Mr. Thomas was a log cutter. He was born in Ganado and was a member of the Native American Church on the Navajo Indian Reservation. He is survived by his mother, Rachael Thomas, father, Earl Johnson; four sisters and two brothers. Services were at the Joseph City Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Arizona Republic Sunday, Oct. 12, 1980.

THOMAS, Esther Louise

Esther Louise Thomas, 60, who had been a secretary 16 years for the Phoenix Union High School District, died Oct. 1, 1980, in her home. A native of Pomona, CA, she came to Phoenix in 1941. Surviving are children, Dona McMahan, Jean Rupe and William D.; six grandchildrne and two sisters. Oct. 3, 1980.

THOMAS, Olive McMillen

Scottsdale -- Olive McMillen Thomas, 82, a retired beautician, died Oct. 6, 1980, in St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientists. She moved to Arizona 28 years ago from Akron, Ohio. Surviving are her daughter, Esther Lam, and four grandchildren. Oct 8, 1980.

THOMPSON, Daniel F.

11 June 1920 - 26 Mar 1980
Daniel F. Thompson, 59, a World War II veteran, died March 26, 1980, in a Phoenix hospital's emergency room. He moved to Phoenix in 1959 from Rhode Island and had been a custodian for an electrical equipment company. Wife, Virginia; children, Rita S., Beatrice L., and Mark J.; a siter and two grandchildren. 3/29/1980.

THOMPSON, Mamie

Services for Mamie Thompson, 90, a native of Scotland who came to Arizona in 1950 from Illinois, will be today in Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden, Scottsdale. Mrs. Thompson lived in Valley nursing homes in recent years and died Oct. 5, 1980, in Maricopa County Hospital. Survivors include children, Isabelle Hribar and Violet Doskeil, both of Phoenix, Gloria Seigel, Glendale, Rita Scherer, Dewey, Elsie Pocica, Florida, Helen Budnick and Pearl Holle, both of Illinois; sons, Jim, Bud, Al and Herbert of Illinois; 37 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. THOMPSON, Melissa

Melissa Thompson, 19, a graduate of Moon Valley High School where she was an honor student and active in musical programs, died of an illness Jan. 22, 1980, in her home. Miss Thompson, 1632 W. Waltann, was president of the School Orchestra, a member of the Symphonic Band and Marching Band which went to Philadelphia during the Bicentennial, the Jazz Ensemble and performed at musicals in other schools. She came to Phoenix in 1969 from New York and is survived by her mother, Marie Thompson; a sister and two brothers. Services were in Trinity Lutheran Church, 9424 N. Seventh Ave. Glendale Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Ave. the Arizona Republic Thursday, 24 January 1980.

TIPTON, Emmett R.

Peoria -- Services for Emmett R. Tipton, 78, a retired shoe factory foreman who died Oct. 8, 1980, in St. Joseph's Hospital, will be Friday in Lundberg Mortuary Chapel, 11211 Michigan Ave., Youngtown. Mr. Tipton, 10701 N. 99th Ave., came here in 1968 from his native Missouri.
