ANDERSON, HACKSTOCK, LAMPKE, LEWIS, MARTIN, SCHREINER posted by Patricia (Hackstock) Storgaard on Sunday, April 29, 2001

I am seeking family history information on my Grandfather Ludwig (Louis Blackie) HACKSTOCK b. 1891 in Schuyler, NE, d. 1946 in Lincoln, NE. He was married to Verla Lorraine LEWIS b. 1898 in Ansley, NE, m. 1914. They settled in Lincoln, NE after marriage and had 4 children including my father Richard G. HACKSTOCK. Other children include; Raymond Fred, Beulah Ruth (MARTIN) and Eleanor Lorraine (ANDERSON). Have been unable to locate info on my grandfathers parents Andrew HACKSTOCK b. 1852 in Austria-Hungary, married to Rosine SCHREINER b. 1854 in Austria-Hungary. They had eight children, John, Paul, Andrew, Elizabeth, George, Matthew Ludwig and Wilheim. Andrew and Rosine HACKSTOCK came to the USA from Austria-Hungary settling in Nebraska, in and around Lincoln County. Andrew appears on a 1900 Platte County census with a Mary? as wife and 6 Hackstock children and one step-daughter of Minnie LAMPKE. We believe that Andrew lived with Mary LAMPKE after the death of Rosine and have much reference to her name in our records.

RECEK, RECZEK posted by Frank Louis Recek Jr. on Monday, May 7, 2001

I am looking for information on a the my grandparents, Joseph and Julia RECEK. They lived in Genoa and Columbus in the early 1900s. I know that they are buried in Columbus and dad was born in Genoa on May 25, 1918. I don't know if our name was changed but my father's baptismal certificate spelled his name Frauciszek RECZEK? It was hard to read. He had 6 brothers and 3 sisters and I believe he had a brother and sister that died both in their teens. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You, Frank.

PETERSON posted by Crista on Tuesday, August 21, 2001

I am looking to locate information from 1879 in Looking Glass, Platte County, Nebraska. I know town appears on 1885 map. My great-grandfather's death certificate lists him being born there. His name was Pete PETERSON on death certificate. Name in my great-grandmother's bible was Peter James PETERSON. Therefore, it could have been either one. His father is listed as Louis PETERSON. Pete was born October 14, 1879. Louis was born around 1856 is what I have been told. I figure there has to be a record of this family somewhere maybe census, church, or county records. If any one has anything or can help me get anything I would be very grateful. Thanks a lot for even taking time to read my message. Thanks a bunch in advance for any help you may be able to give me.
