I am researching the ZUERLEIN and BODEWIG families. Any and all information is appreciated concerning these surnames. MANY Zuerlein's have and do reside in this area dating back to about 1880s. Bodewig's appear about the same time all immigrating from Germany. Thank you.

Need any info: Darwin and Frances Westcott CLARK family (Baumgartner, Simonton, Stevens, Ingraham, Dean ) their dau. married names all from Creston, NE. Also info: Guy "Budge" and Janette "Net" Thompson Clark had 3 children (Lavern and Ida Moranand/ Violet Zacek) all raised in Creston. Guy owned & operated a motel / hotel in Creston til 1950. Frank Gas FABER: I am looking for any information on my grandfather on my mother's side. According to my mother's (Margaret Anna FABER born 1908) birth certificate, Frank Gas FABER stated that he was born in Humphrey, Platte County, Nebraska. He was 29 at the time of my mother's birth so he would have been born sometime either in 1878 or 1879. I am looking for his parents and any sibling names, place of birth, etc. Thanks in advance.

My GG Grandfather Thomas KUDRON brought his family from Leki Gorne, Poland around 1907 and settled around the Nance/Platte County border (around Genoa). According to my Father, Thomas had at least one sister who may have been married to a SOKOL. Thomas' parents are Andrew KUDRON and Mary TOMASIEWICZ. Does anyone else have ties to this Kudron line? Thomas Kudron, b 9/24/1869, d 3/9/1938. Married Ursula WORELSKI b 6/11/1865, d 6/29/1940 about 1890. Both buried in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Columbus, NE.

My name is David DOTSON. I am looking for information on the DAVIS family of Columbus, and the DOTSON family of Columbus. My mother's name was Norma Davis, she lived in Columbus most of her life. My father's name was Louis Dotson, he lived in Kanasas City for 20 years of his life. Both are buried in Roselawn Cemetery. My mother's parents (Evalena MILLER and David Davis) are also from Columbus and buried at Roselawn. My father's parents are buried in Schuyler (name not known). My father had a brother in Columbus, Fred, who recently passed away. I had an older brother, Louis Jr., who went by "Sonny", who was 25 when he died in 1979, is also buried at Roselawn. Any stories or acquaintances of these people will be greatly appreciated. Any help will be appreciated.

Need help on Joseph Nathaniel GARDNER. Lived in Platte, Co., around 1870. Listed on the Federal census 1870. He was born 1837 in Pickaway, Ohio. His wife was Caroline Frances McGath. They had 11 children. Believe he may have a Land Donation in Nebraska. Don't know the dates of their deaths. He was a farmer. Any info you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am interested in the family of John R. WILLIAMS of Monroe; he md. Clara______, ca. 1898; I would like to give Clara a name. The estate settlement of Hugh HUGHES tells me he was still living in Monroe in 1924. There were two children I know of, Irene and Ralph WILLIAMS. Were there more, and did they stay on in Monroe? Related Platte Co. families: HUGHES, DAVIES, RAGATZ, JONES, SPANGLER, HAMRICK, and the John T. and Annie (WILLIAMS) EVANS family, who also remained in Platte Co. into the 1920s. I would appreciate any help on any of these families. Have info. to exchange.

I am looking for any surname of MAGOON. There were several in the Platte Co., area in the 1870, and they all were from the same town and area as John Rickley, in Minnesota: Henry C. Magoon, b. Lebanon NH, 1814, m. Mehitable Wymen CLEMENT, Sept. 24, 1839. Migrated to Owatonna, Steele Co., MN, in the 1850's, and also lived or owned land in Rice Co., Fairbault, MN and befriended John J. RICKLEY... Migrated to Platte Co., NE, in the 1870, with their children (now adults), Harrison Clifton Magoon, Dana Magoon who died in Lost Creek Twp., and was the first school teacher there, Charles Edward Magoon who later practiced law in Lincoln NE, and became the first provisional Governor of Panama and Cuba under Wm. H. TAFT. Robert FLICK, who was adopted by this MAGOON family, and he later moved to Kansas City MO, and owned the FRANKLIN Ice Cream company, there. Harrison Clifton MAGOON, also read for the Law in Platte Co., NE, and later practiced law and was a County Judge in Nance co., NE. He married Clara APPLEGARTH, probably in Minnesota. They had the following children: Arthur Charles Magoon, m. Jennie W. WILSON,, in NE., Anna Mae Magoon, m. James Truman NEELY, in NE. Harry (Freddie) Magoon, m. Effie Celestine RANDALL, in NE., Jennie Magoon, m. Will RIDGE, in NE. Frank Magoon, m. ? children: Annie and Virginia, lived in Lincoln NE for a while, Maude Magoon, m. Joseph RHODE, in NE. This family was also in the Sheridan County, NE area for a while. Any help would be wonderful, and a connection, would be great. Thanks.

I'm looking for information on Fred R. SCHRADER, a German-Russian immigrant to Platte Co., NE in the early 1900's. It is my understanding that Fred had married in Russia. He had at least one daughter that he brought from Russia, Margaret Schrader, born 12/09/1901. Fred had at least 8 more children, which we either born in Russia or NE. Fred's wife and all but two children died in Platte Co. Fred left one child with a family friend and took Margaret to Fresno CA, possibly in 1910. Margaret at some point returned to NE and married a Fittje, also from Platte Co. Thanks for any information.

I am looking for information on my grandmother's family, NOVICKY, that settled in Duncan, Platte County, Nebraska about 1898, from Krakow, Poland. My grandmother's name was Mary, and she was born in Krakow in 1886. She joined a convent shortly after settling in Duncan. The Novickys were farmers, and I don't have Mary's mother and father's first names. Thank you.

Hi, I am researching for any data on my G Grandfather, Anders Alfred Nilsson NELSON and G Grandmother, Elna Lindbloom NELSON. They came from Sweden in 1881 and were married Dec. 30, 1882.
