DELK, PETTICREW -
I'm looking for information on the following couple: Jesse M. Delk, born abt. 1900 in Virginia, and Mary Petticrew, born abt. 1904 in Virginia. Both were white. They had a son, Dave Delk, in Arlington Co., Virginia, in 1926, whom they later gave up for adoption. I'd love any help tracking down information on Jesse and Mary. Thanks!

BOONE, GUNN -
I am searching for my gggrandmother, Sarah Gunn's parents, who were purported to live in Virginia ca. 1790-1810. Sarah's father was alleged to be a physician and her mother was supposedly Catherine Boone. They moved to NC around 1818 or 1819. I am sorry this information is so sparse, however, that is all I have at the time. My gggrandmother was born in 1796.

JONES -
I AM TRYING TO FIND My GGG Grandfather's parents. His name is John Jones b. 1784-5 VA and d. abt. 1860 Franklin CO., AL. He married Martha (last name unknown) she b. 1790-91 VA and died After her husband did in Franklin CO., AL.
Before they came to Franklin CO., AL they had William Jones b. 1818 TN and they were on a census (not sure which year) in McNairy Co., TN before coming to Franklin CO., AL.
I do not have the census in McNairy Co., TN because I am retired (or my husband is) and I did not work, just stayed home and had 4 children. I did plenty of work at home!. I cannot afford subscriptions to anything. I have worked on this for years and still have not come up with anything.
I know this is far back, but I sure would like to find it- the parents of John Jones, my GGG Grandfather. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks,

I am interested in finding BURBRIDGE information, also maybe spelled Burbage or variant ... Specifically Ezekiel--father of Thomas (x Christina), Rowland (Roland) x Jane Wells and Julia x F. Grant.
Ezekiel settled in VA, supposedly ca. 1730s with his parents when they came to US. Zeke would have been under age yet at that time. Suspected birth ca. 1710-1727. No records to prove anything one way or the other. I think he had a brother Thomas who died. 1790, Spottsylvania. I have Zeke named in an old obit, but nothing concrete to prove too much. I am searching for my maternal grandfather Charles J. Johnson ... bn 1874 in Sneedville, Tenn. I did find him on the 1900 census in Central, St.Louis, Missouri living with Berkley Johnson (as a servant) bn in about 1850 in Va. I believe they are related but I cannot find anything on Berkley Johnson. Could you help? Thank you.

GOOD, GOODE -
Good/Goode Family From Old Virginia To North Carolina
Solomon Good, Senior was born 1750 Old Virginia according to his family Bible. He served in the Revolutionary War enlisting where he lived at that time Halifax County, North Carolina the Hillsborough District.
By 1790 he was located in Burke County, North Carolina. Have no name of wife but they had children some were: John, Betsy, Robert, Solomon, Jr. and others that have not been located. Believe his brother was Edward Good, also moving to Burke County.
According to his estate papers his death was between January and November of 1839, Burke County, North Carolina.
Please help me locate his family. Would like to know which county in Old Virginia he was from and his family and parents name.
Any information will be so much appreciated as I am running out of resources to look for this Good/Goode family. Any and all shared research, I will be so grateful to receive. Thank you,

Info is needed on John Webb born 1770-1775 somewhere in Va, had 4 sons ... George 1794, Joseph 1880, William 1802 and John 1808. All were born in Virginia. All migrated to Anderson Co TN after 1808. From what county did they come? What was wife's name? Any info much appreciated.

I am helping out a friend with research and I've hit a road block. I am hoping you can help me. I am looking for Information on a Hicks Westbrook. According to Census records Hicks Was born in Virginia in 1852 and his parents were born in Maryland. He was married twice once to Lucinda and they lived in Kansas in 1880. He then married Laura and lived in Texas in 1900. He then settled in Oklahoma with Laura in 1910. I have found that his birthday is around Christmas. I have also found his name spelled Hix. I am looking for information on the family of William Barton Hopkins, born in Va in March 1856. He was married to Emma Caulfield, and in 1900 he lived in Baltimore. I think his father's name was S. M. Hopkins (it may be Samuel), born in Md in abt. 1820 and his mother's name was MaryAnn L. Hopkins, she was also born in Maryland in abt. 1820. He had a sister, Laura, born in Va. abt. 1847 and may have had other siblings. Thanks

Hunting the parents of David Marion Pullen, b. June 1, 1817 VA. mar. Aug. 6, 1840 maybe in Ohio to Susannah Angeline Martha Cooper b. April 27, 1822 Preble Co. Ohio the daughter of Jacob Cooper and Nancy (DeCoursey) Cooper. Susannah brother was Jacob Cooper married to a Flora. David M. Pullen d. May 4, 1877 Carroll Co. IN. and Susannah (Cooper) Pullen d. April 7, 1888 in Carroll Co. In. I have hunted for the parents of David Pullen all I can find is that he b. in Va. He came to Carroll Co. in the 1840s Thank you for any help.

I am hunting for the place of Marriage and parents of Benjamin Harrison and Alsebeth/ Elzabeth Reed they were married probably in the early 1800 as they had a daughter Alsebeth/ Elsa/ Alcey Harrison b.June 19,1820 in Portsmouth, Sciota Co. Ohio according to the 1880 census Alcey/ Alsebeth Harrison parents were both b. in Va.? Alcey (Harrison) Moore was married three times the 1st in Carroll Co. IN. to John H. Coffman 1840 at the time of her marriage, a man by the name of Simeon Gray said that she was b. June 19, 1820 and that she was old enough to be married. Who is this person? On the 1850 Census Carroll Co. IN. Alcey and her Husband John H. Coffman had a girl living with them by the name of Ursula Gray age 10 years old. Probably the daughter of Simeon Gray and who? Alzebeth married 2nd to Jonathan E. Moore Jan. 3, 1858 Carroll Co. IN. and 3rd to Adam Porter in 1882. On Alcey (Harrison) Coffman- Moore- Porter death record and obit it gives her parents name as Benjamin Harrison and Elizabeth Reed. and the obit said she came to Indiand with her sister, (who maybe the wife of Simeon Gray?) Can't find Simeon Gray after the 1840 census anywhere. Was Simeon Gray also from Va.? maybe married to a Harrison or a Reed? Thank you for any help.

I am looking for Lucille Carroll, born abt 1915 in Roanoke, Va. In 1936 she lived in Oakville Area, Va. At that time she had 3 children. Two girls and one boy. All were under 5 years. Her husband was in a TB Clinic. Her son's name was either Walter or Francis (Frank). I am not sure if Carroll was her maiden name or married. Thanks

I am searching for information on Isaac Bennett. The 1830 Ohio Census shows he was born 1790 -- 1800 in VA. I have him married to Mildred Ballard on 06-02-1818 in Pickaway County OH. Isaac died 1844 -- 1847 Booneville, Warrick County, IN. A fellow researcher suggest his place of birth may now be Harrison County, West Virginia. Any suggestions or help in finding his birth place and parents will be most helpful. Thanks

Seeking information on husband/marriage and/or parents of Margaret Copes (married name) born c. 1797 on Eastern Shore, died after 1880 in Philadelphia, had children named Eliza (born c. 1818 Virginia), Beverly Copes (born c. 1831 Maryland), Martha Copes (born c. 1835 Pennsylvania). Martha married James Davis of Philadelphia. I've found Margaret in the Pennsylvania Censuses and possibly the 1830 Accomack Parish Census. Thank you.

I am trying to find out whom my gr-gr-gr-gr-grandparents were. My gr-gr-gr-grandfather was Joseph Norman and was born in VA 15 Jan 1802 & died 26 Jul 1868 in Indiana. I do not know if he had any siblings or even a middle name. He and his family moved to Ohio at some point. His first wife was Mary 'Polly' (Joyce) Norman b 30 Jul 1795 in Patrick Co, VA and they had two children: Hamilton b 1831 in Ohio & Caroline b 1836 also in Ohio he later married Susannah Fisher b 11 Feb 1815 in Perry County, OH. and they had two children while there: Thomas B Norman b 15 Jul 1844 & Daniel Norman b 5 May 1846. They later had two daughters born in Indiana whose names were Amanda and Sarah. They all died in Indiana. Thank you for your time and help!

My husbands great grandfather James Lafayette Owens was born someplace in VA and I think he lived there until he was 17 but I have not been able to find a county or area where he lived or any information about anything at all for that matter. I have the 1880 census where he came to Sevier County Tennessee when he was 17 with his new wife Margaret. who was also 17 at the time and son Roscoe Owens. James Lafayette Owens was born in 1863 and died in December of 1933 in Sevier County. If you can find me any info at all to just get me over this block in the road I would be so grateful.

I am looking for parents of Rachel Smith b. abt 1812 born in Virginia to an old pioneer family.
Rachel Smith married Michael Clark 24 Aug. 1832 in Peoria, Ill. Rachel and Michael Clark had three known children: Mattie b. abt 1834 in Illinois; John H. b. 28 Jan 1837 in Illinois; and William Lee b. 18 Nov. 1838 in Illinois.
Michael Clark was born 1808 in Dublin, Ireland, and I have no further information on him.

He went from Virginia to Missouri and then ended up in Texas where he died in 1905. His married Frances Farmer in Missouri. Searching for the parents of Lucy Jane Douglas, born 1825 in Kentucky. Census records have her parents as both being born in VA. I have done some pretty thorough searches, and have used ancestry.com, but can find nothing. Specific family stories and some pretty strong clues lead to me think she may be at least part Native American. Any information would be appreciated.
