STOVER -
Might you be able to help me find other researchers looking at the Stover families who were living along Chestnut Creek (I'm assuming while the area was still a part of Lunnenburg County) I am trying to find if some of the descendants of Jacob Stover, especially Jeremiah Stover, may have moved to Bent Mountain and been in the Botetourt jurisdiction during the Revolutionary War and then about 1800 moved to North Carolina, descendants to TN, OH, MO etc. Any contacts or recommendations would be welcome. Naomi

ELSTON, RANDOLPH -
RANDOLPH, Mary. I am trying to find any information on my gggg grandmother, Mary Randolph, who was born in Roanoke around 1765-1775. About 1789/1790, she became the second wife of David Elston, with whom she had several children. Shortly after their marriage (place unknown, but possible Wilkes Co., NC), she moved to Henry County, KY. MORRIS, ROBERTSON, ROTEN -
My ancestor was Sampson Robertson, born in 1809 in Edgefield District, S.C. and died in 1863 in Clark County, Alabama. Could this have been the son or grandson of James Robertson (1759-1838), who was a Rev War Vet from South Carolina. The Patriot James Robertson married Sarah Morris in 1782 and they went to Alabama where he died in Tuscaloosa. My ancestor Sampson Robertson married Cecelia Roten (1809-1880) in Edgefield District, S.C. in 1831. If there is any connection between these two Robertson families, I would enjoy not only knowing for my benefit but also for S.A.R. Supplemental Application. Please send me an E-mail or a note if you are also tracking this family. Thanks,
