He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sharon Long

& Ronald Smith, and Patricia “Trish” Colley; grandchildren, Leslie
Holcomb, Katie Smith, James Holcomb, Joseph Holcomb (Sara Mitchell), Megan
Smith (Jess), Elizabeth “Izzy” Holcomb (Nick Harrell), and Jenny Colley;
great-grandchild, Estella Holcomb; special nephew, Samuel “Eddie” &
Stephanie Akers; and special friend, Clifford Orange.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00
a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with
Pastor Ronnie Duncan and Pastor Ronald Smith officiating. Interment will
follow in the Ambrose Cox Cemetery with Military Rites by the Seymour
Johnson Air Force Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m.
until 8 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024 at the funeral home.

Bonds, Nonnie Bain, and Viola Ayers.
She is survived
by her sons & daughters-in-law, David Lee Guynn, Floyd Lane Bain,

10, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtha Rhodes Cox; and
parents, Lonnie G. Cox and Opa Mae Cox. James is survived by his three
sons, Robert L. Cox and wife, Sonya, James Alvin Cox, and Richard Cox and
wife, Shelly; five grandchildren, Sarah M. Cox, Alyson T. Cox, Angela
Hannah, Michelle Cox, Eddie and Lucas Ball; three great-grandchildren,
Autumn and Kieley Hannah and Toby Campellone; as well as his step-daughters,
Glenna C. Hungate and husband, Darrell, Regina C. Ball and husband, Jeff,
and Rebecca C. Lawrence and husband, Roger; two brothers, Roger D. Cox and
wife, Peggy and Exel Lakewood Cox and wife, Betty; sister, Mardell Cox;
numerous nieces and nephews; and his 'lil buddy, Oscar. James was a man who
worked hard and always provided for his family. He loved to serve his
church and his community. He was a long-time member of Peters Creek Church
of the Brethren. James especially loved to travel and experience the world.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Gallimore Cox.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Norman A. Cox, Norbert L. Cox,
and Raymond N. Cox; daughter & son-in-law, Judy Duncan (Alton, II);
grandsons, Trey Duncan (Sierra) and Caleb Duncan; siblings, Waitman
(Patricia), Eldridge (Mary), and Payton (Judy), and Gayle; and
brother-in-law, Bobby Phillips (and the late Noble).
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday, February 23, 2023, in
the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nathan Phillips officiating.
Interment will follow in the Ambrose Cox Cemetery. The family will receive
friends from 10 a.m. until Noon prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ramsey and Lucille Gallimore, and Bruce Gallimore; and sisters-in-law,
Wanda Gallimore and Lovelene Gallimore.
Funeral Service
will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2011, at the Maberry
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Poston and the Rev. James Walker
officiating. Interment to follow in the Ambrose Cox Cemetery. The family

Warren "Bo" was the beloved husband and soul mate of Ann for 13
years; treasured dad of his daughters, Angie Edmondson & husband Matt,
and Amanda Lester; loving Paw Paw and Grandpa of Peyton, William and Warren
Brooks, Seldon Gilmore, Ryan, Cameron, Jonathan, and Jeremiah Edmondson;
brother to Lloyd Cox (Becky), Eldon Cox (Leslie), and Christine Benson
(John); and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Bo was an amazing man who loved his family and friends. He was a member of
Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren since 2011. He loved wood working and
nature. I know this is a trail that you are walking now…we love you so much
and you will be missed so very much, but we will carry you in our hearts
down all our trails.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 in
the Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren with Pastor Marvin Wade
officiating. Interment will follow in the Irenia Mayberry Cox Cemetery. The

Saturday, April 25, 2015. He was born on August 18, 1934 to the late Warren
and Guida Cox. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Misty Jo Cox.
Bud was a carpenter by trade, and he loved his family and many friends. He
is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mavis, and children, Warren
"Bo" (Ann), Lloyd (Becky), Christine (John) Benson, Eldon
(Leslie); five grandchildren, Angie (Matt), Travis (Leslie), Jessica
(Devon), Amanda (Joel), Michael (Amie); 12 great-grandchildren; brothers,
Elza (Helen), Harold (Rosemary); and sister, Mary (Eldridge). A Funeral
service was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Maberry Funeral
Home with the Rev. Danny Phillips and Pastor Roy Turpin officiating.
Interment followed in the Ambrose Cox Cemetery. Family received friends
from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 at Maberry Funeral Home.

Mavis Corrine
Cox, 83, of Willis, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 2,
2021. She was born on May 22, 1937, to the late Clova Bolt Dalton. She was
preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Warren "Bud"
Cox; granddaughter, Misty Jo Cox; brother, Venston Dalton; and sisters,
Mabel Boyd and Lareda Quesenberry. "Rean" was the oldest of nine
siblings. She was born and raised in the Buffalo Mountain community, which
she dearly loved. She was a loving wife and devoted mother to her children.
When asked what made her happy, she said "Family". Rean also
opened up her home and heart to her many extended family and friends
throughout her life. Welcoming everyone with kindness, open arms and a
wonderful smile, those moments will be missed by all who knew her. She is
survived by her children, Warren "Bo" (Ann), Lloyd (Becky),
Christine (John) Benson, and Eldon (Leslie); five grandchildren, Angie
(Matt), Travis (Samantha), Jessica (Devon), Amanda, and Michael (Amie); 14
great-grandchildren; brothers, Norman Dalton, William Dalton, Earl Dalton,
and Franklin Dalton; and sister, Wanda Linkous. Funeral services were held
at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021, in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel
with Pastor Danny Phillips and Pastor Vernon Dalton officiating. Interment
followed in the Irenia Mayberry Cox Cemetery. The family received friends
from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021, at the funeral home. The
family would like to thank Ann for the loving care you gave mom. We would
also like to thank the great care from Dr. Judy and Dr. Goldschmidt along
with their staff, the Intrepid Hospice Team, and the staff of Maberry

COX, Bessie Gay, 97, of Willis, passed away Sunday,
April 11, 1993, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death
by her husband, Cicero Cox, and a son, Brady Cox. Survivors include five
daughters and sons-in-law, Hazel Scaggs and Josephine Scaggs, both of
Riner, Ovada and Marvie Weeks of Floyd, Izola Moye of Tennessee, Julia and Shelly
Montgomery of Christiansburg; four sons, Shelba Cox, Elba Cox, Archie Cox
and Elwood Cox, all of Willis; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-nine
great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services
will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel in
Floyd with the Rev. Kenneth Poston and the Rev. Harold Cox officiating.
Burial will follow in the Irenia Cox Cemetery. The family will receive
friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday at the Maberry Funeral Home.
