State Trooper Bill Davidson, the investigator, said that Mrs. Myra Bess Washington, 71, of Morales (north of Edna) was driver of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Afton Dunham. Also Mrs. Sadie Dennis, 74, of El Campo, the only passenger in the vehicle, was taken by Edna Volunteer Ambulance Service to the Edna Hospital where she was reported in satisfactory condition later Wednesday.
