Ervin B. LaBauve

Edna--Funeral services for Ervin Branch LaBauve, 87, of Edna, who died Saturday in a Houston hospital, will be at 2:30 p. m. Monday at the Slavik Funeral Home Chapel.

The Rev. Harry Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens of Edna.

He was born May 29, 1900, in Edna to the late Odelon Joseph and Lillie Branch LaBauve. A retired employee of Central Power and Light, he had worked as a service man from 1927 to 1965. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Louise Brown LaBauve, on June 19, 1976.

He is survived by a daughter, Kay Louise Parnell of Houston; a son, Fred Brown LaBauve of Houston; three sisters, Lillian A. LaBauve and Mrs. Lee O. LaBauve, both of Edna, and Mrs. Jack LaBauve of Beeville; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tobie Eugene LaBavue, Randolph Wray Parnell, Craig Reagan Parnell, Ward Dallas Parnell, Harold Bonnot and Joe Bonnot.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Knupple, Lon Drushel and Dick Thomas.

Mrs. LaBauve

Edna--Funeral services for Mrs. Louise B. LaBauve, 65, longtime Edna church and club leader, will be held at 4 p. m. Monday at the Edna Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Richard Stone officiating.

Burial will be in Memory Gardens of Edna, under direction of the Jackson County Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Harold Bonnot, W. T. McNeil, Frank Wells, Steele Simons, Harrison Stafford and Randolph W. Parnell. Honorary pallbearers will be W. E. Williams, Phil Asbeck Sr., Steve Dodson, Allen L. Burditt and Claude Quarles.

Mrs. LaBauve was a native of Jackson, born at Ganado Sept. 20, 1910. She as a lifetime member of the Presbyterian Church, and owned a downtown gift shop from 1946 to 1957 She was chairman of the Jackson County Historical Survey Committee for three years, and had been on the board of the Texana Museum organization. She was a past president and current member of the E. B. Literary Club and Daughters of the Republic of Texas and Edna Garden Club, and a longtime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Surviving are her husband, Ervin B. LaBauve; a daughter, Mrs. Kay Parnell of Houston; a son, Fred B. LaBauve of Houston, and six grandchildren.

Lee Odelon LaBauve

Crash Victim Hospitalized

Edna--Lee O. LaBauve, 60, Edna surveyor, was under treatment in a Ganado hospital Tuesday after his car struck the end of a bridge railing here early Tuesday morning. A hospital spokesman late Tuesday said he apparently was in satisfactory condition.

City Officer Will Turner, who investigated, said LaBauve was driving west on West Main Street at about 6:20 a. m., and apparently lost control of his 1972 sedan and ran into the right side railing of the bridge over Dry Creek. A friend said he sustained several fractured ribs and bruises.

He was taken by Slavik ambulance to the Mauritz Memorial Jackson County Hospital in Ganado for treatment by his personal physician. The car was heavily damaged.

Rites Due for Edna Man - Auto Accident Victim

Edna--Funeral services for Lee O. "Boone" LaBauve, 67, well-known Edna surveyor injured in a one-car accident Tuesday, will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday from the Jackson County Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. George Crofoot Jr. officiating.

Burial will be in Edna Cemetery under direction of the Jackson County Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Thad Rose, David Rose, Phil Gabrysch, Fred Hasdorff, Pete Sappington and W. T. McNeil.

Mr. LaBauve, who formerly had the office of Jackson County surveyor, sustained serious chest injuries Tuesday morning when he lost control of his car and hit the end of the Dry Creek bridge railing on West Main in Edna. He died Thursday night in a Ganado hospital.

He was born Nov. 24, 1905, in Jackson County, and was a member of the Surveyors Association and a veteran of World War II. He had joined the Seabees prior to 1941, then transferred to the Navy after the United States entered the war.

Surviving are his wife, Kathryne of Edna; a sister, Lillian LaBauve of Edna; and two brothers, Ervin of Edna and Jack of Beeville.

Lillian Augusta La Bauve

Lillian LaBauve

Edna--Lillian Augusta LaBauve, 86, lifelong resident of Jackson County, died at 7:10 a. m. Friday in a Victoria nursing home after a lengthy illness

Graveside services will be at 2 p. m. Sunday in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna with the Rev. Russell Moon of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.

She was born Jan. 4, 1904, in Jackson County, to the late Odelon and Lillian Branch LaBauve. She was a secretary for the Mauritz family businesses. She was a longtime employee of the Mauritz family of Ganado and Edna having gone to work in the Citizens State Bank in the early 1920's as secretary to the president, Mr. T. N. Mauritz. She continued in her career as executive secretary for Mr. Mauritz and his brothers, Harry and Fred, during their lifetimes and held this same position for two successive generations until an accident in Jan. 1988 incapacitated her.

Ms. LaBauve was well known in both Ganado and Edna and surrounding communities for her expertise in business matters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, O. J. "Jack" LaBauve, Lee "Boone" LaBauve and Ervin LaBauve.

Lillie Branch La Bauve

Last Rites Held For Mrs. LaBauve, Beloved Ednaite

Mrs. Lillie LaBauve, one of Jackson County's oldest native citizens, was laid to rest last Friday following her death Thursday in the Mauritz Memorial Jackson County Hospital at Ganado, after a short illness. She was 90 years of age.

Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church at 3:30 and burial was in the Edna Cemetery. Rev. I. E. Walker, pastor, officiated and the Slavik Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Steele Simons, M. T. Simons Jr., Thad Rose, Callaway Vance, Dr. C. M. Dugger, and Roy Selby, There were many beautiful floral offerings.

Mrs. LaBauve was born April 29, 1862, a daughter of Ervin G. Branch and Mrs. Augusta Nolte Branch. Her husband is O. J. LaBauve, pioneer landowner. They were married in 1889.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Miss Lillian LaBauve of Edna; three sons, Ervin LaBavue of Edna, Jack LaBauve of Beeville, and L. O. LaBauve of Rockdale; a sister, Mrs. Emma Bonnot of LaWard, and three grandchildren, Fred B. of the U. S. Navy, Kay of Houston and Margie of Beeville.

Odelon J. La Bauve



O. J. LaBauve 96, Succumbs

Funeral services were held here today at 2 o'clock for Odelon Joseph LaBauve, 96, believed to be Jackson County's oldest resident and former employee for over 20 years of Shanghai Pierce, noted South Texas cattleman. He died Wednesday at 11:15 a. m. at Yorktown.

Rites were from the Slavik Funeral Home and Rev. I. E. Walker, Methodist minister, officiated. Burial was in the Edna Cemetery.

Mr. LaBauve was born at St. ___, 1858, a son of Victor Jean and Elena Gonsoulin LaBauve. He came to Jackson County with his parents around the age of five years and settled in the LaBauve community in southwest Jackson County. In later years he moved to Edna and has resided here on South Progress Street for some 50 years.

Many Edna residents have heard Mr. LaBauve recount tales of the rough and ready Shanghai Pierce. He was in excellent health until a few years ago and in recent months had been making his home at Yorktown. He was a retired carpenter and rancher.

His wife died in January of this year.

Surviving are three sons, Ervin and L. O. LaBauve of Edna and Jack LaBauve of Beeville; a daughter, Miss Lillian LaBauve of Edna, and three grandchildren, Ensign Fred LaBauve of the Navy, Miss Kay LaBauve of Houston and Miss Marjorie Sue LaBauve of Beeville.

Thomas "Tommy" Labay

Thomas “Tommy” Labay was born in Nada, Texas to Steve and Ludmilla Labay on Dec. 3, 1948. He went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 at the age of 69.

He is survived by his siblings, Delores and Welton Adler, Pauline Leopold, Steve and Jeanette Labay, Jr. and Lambert and Kathy Labay, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Steve Labay, Sr. and Ludmilla Labay.

There will be a brief visitation on Saturday, October 6, from 9 to 10 a.m. with a Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church with the Rev. Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Interment will be at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Nada, Texas.

Services have been entrusted to Russell Todish of Ganado Funeral Home, 361-771-2120.

Adeline Lane

Edna—Adeline Lane, 92, of Corpus Christi and formerly of Edna, died Saturday in a Corpus Christi hospital. She was born Nov. 26, 1891 in Edna.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday at Cook-Butler Funeral Home in Edna with the Rev. E. J. Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in Chase Cemetery.

Surviving are two grandchildren.

Mrs. Mollie Lane

Edna—Funeral services for Mrs. Mollie Lane, 79, of Edna will be 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Scruggs United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in the Kerr Cemetery under direction of the Cook-Butler Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be her sons, and Robert Reed. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sedahlia Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and the American Woodman.

Mrs. Lane was born Jan. 13, 1900 in Jackson County. She died Friday in a Victoria hospital.

Surviving are five sons, Cecil Stafford of Edna, Guidy Dennis of Louisville, Ky., Tomy Broks of Buffalo, N. Y., Marion Lane of Philadelphia, Pa. and Walter Lane of Austin; sister, Mable Red and a brother, Mose Reed both of Victoria; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Patsy Jean Latimer

Patsy Jean Latimer, 76, of Edna, passed away on January 5, 2019. She was born on December 23, 1942, in Cuero, Texas, to the late Henry Dittert, Sr. and Pearl E. Dittert.

Patsy is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert Lee Latimer, Sr.; daughters, Debbie Michelle Myers and her husband Stanley, Cindy Kaye Kainer and her husband Darryl; son, Robert Lee Latimer, Jr. and his wife Leah; sister, Peggy Vickery and her husband Lonnie; sister in law, Katherine Webel; brother, Dr. Henry M. Dittert, Jr. and his wife Jeanette; brother in laws, Donald Latimer and his wife Mary Ann, Roy Latimer and his wife Susie, Walter Latimer and his wife Kyla, and Ronnie Latimer and his wife Brenda; grandchildren, Jacob (Rachel) Latimer, Stan (Brianna) Myers, Ashley Myers, Jared Latimer, Landon Myers, Cody Kainer, Colton Kainer, and Kadie Kainer; great-grandchildren, Grant Myers, Jackson Latimer, and Isaiah Latimer.

Along with her parents, Patsy is preceded in death by her brother Hugo Dittert (Shirley) and sister in law Elizabeth Gayle.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the funeral service to begin at 1 p.m., all in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bischoff Cemetery in Inez. Rev. Kelli Williamson will be officiating.

Pallbearers are Jacob Lee Latimer, Stan Bruce Myers, II., Jared Luke Latimer, Landon Cole Myers, Colton Kainer, and Cody Kainer. Honorary pallbearers are Ashley Nicole Myers and Kadie Page Kainer.

Inese Lawson

Inese Lawson, 90, of Edna, died Saturday, June 16, 2007. She was born in Jackson County to the late Selvester Rucker and Mary Robinson Rucker Edwards. She was a retired housekeeper and a Baptist.

She is survived by her daughter Lille Robinson of Edna, Bernice Allen of Houston and Sybil Louise Napier of San Antonio; sons, Morris Jerome Lawson of Houston and J.T. Lawson of Edna; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Lawson; brother, Vanez Rucker; daughters, Melveria Dees, Mary I. Carter and Betty Cook; and sons, Wesley Lawson, Aaron Lawson and Lowell Lawson.

Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Morales, with the Rev. Pat Griffin and the Rev. Claude Prince officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Morales.

J. T. Lawson

J.T. Lawson, 64, of Edna, passed away Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008. He was born in Edna to Ernest Lawson and Inese Rucker Lawson.

Survivors: daughter, Christi Bernice Lawson and a daughter in California; sisters, Bernice Allen, Sybil Napier, and Lillie Robinson; brother, Morris J. Lawson; and two grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents; sisters, Betty Cook, Melveria Dees, and Mary Ida Carter; and brothers, Lowell Lawson, Wesley Lee Lawson, and Aaron Lawson.

Mrs. Lela Ferguson Lee

Edna—Mrs. Lela Ferguson Lee, 83, of LaSalle, died Saturday in a Victoria hospital.

She was a long time member of the Woodruff Avenue Baptist Church in Brownsville.

Funeral services will be Monday at 4 p. m. at the Vanderbilt Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Hutson  and Dr. Howard Gates officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Bluff Cemetery under the direction of the Slavic Funeral Home of Edna.

Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Vayless of San Antonio and Jean Dillard of Vanderbilt; a son, Walter J. Lee Jr. of Palestine; two sisters, Verna Guilbert and Margaret Warren, both of Harlingen; two brothers, Henry A. Ferguson of Kingsland and Samual W. Ferguson of Harlingen; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Dixie Lewis

Edna—Funeral services for Dixie “Preacher” Lewis, 62, of Edna will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at Cook-Butler Funeral Chapel here, with the Rev. R. A. Hicks officiating.

Burial will be in the Kerr Cemetery under direction of the Cook-Butler Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be John Grant, Calvin Reed, Lincoln-Edwards, Sammy Callis, Tom Sayles and William Brooks.

Mr. Lewis was born Sept. 14, 1914 at Tivoli, and had lived in this county 30 years. He was a retired truck driver, and died at his home here Sunday.

Surviving are his wife, Reba Lewis of Edna; his mother, Ella Anderson of Bloomington, and a step-son, Isaac Eugene Gipson of Edna.

Fred A. Lezak

Edna—Fred Albert Lezak, 87, of Edna, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001.

He was born Oct. 6, 1913, in Gonzales, to the late Josef and Petronilla Sehnalek Lezak. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and St. Agnes Catholic Church.

Survivors: wife, Annie Tupa Lezak; daughters, Laura Arnold of Mt. Belvieu, Barbara Drastata of Lolita, Pauline Nowlin of Blessing, Kathy Price of Port Lavaca and Lanelle Beicek of Edna; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: son, John Fred Lezak; parents; four sisters; and five brothers.

Visitation was at noon Friday at Slavik Funeral Home chapel.

A rosary was recited at 7 p. m. Friday at the funeral home chapel.

Services will be 2 p. m. today at Assumption Catholic Church of Ganado, the Rev. Joseph Hybner officiating.

Burial will be at Red Bluff Cemetery near Lolita. Slavik Funeral Home, Edna, 361-782-2152.

Barnabas G. Lincecum

Lolita—Barnabas Gandy “Barney” Lincecum, 99, of Lolita, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999.

He was born Aug. 29, 1900, in Lavaca County, to the late Addison L. and Letha Elizabeth Gandy Lincecum. He was a rancher and a member of American Legion Post No. 251 of El Campo. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors: step-sons, L. J. Mader of Louise, A. V. Mader of El Campo, John Mader of Nada and 10 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents, wife, Mary Mader Lincecum; step-sons, Vincent Mader and Frank Mader; sister, Ruth Trussel and brother, Bill Lincecum.

Services will be 2 p. m. today at Slavik Funeral Chapel in Edna, the Rev. Joe Wes Rubac officiating.

Katie M. Littlejohn

Edna—Katie Mae Littlejohn, 71, of San Angelo, a native of Jackson County, died Wednesday in a hospital in San Angelo.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m. Monday in the Scruggs United Methodist Church here with the Rev. Billy Young officiating. Burial will be in Chase Cemetery under direction of the Cook Butler Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be John Williams Jr., Leonard Watson Jr., Donald Ray Williams, Tommy McNary, Boyd Clay and Robert Clay.

Mrs. Littlejohn was born Jan. 16, 1910 in Jackson County.

She is survived by her husband, C. B. Littlejohn of San Angelo; a daughter, Annie Lois Lott of San Antonio; five sisters, Josephine Reese of Houston, Ida Allen of Sinton, Emma Mulkey? of San Antonio, Isabel Clay of Bay City and Velma Hines of Edna; four brothers, Alec Tones of Pasadena, Calif.; Otis Tones of Little Rock, Ark., Acie Tones of Ganado and Jack Tones of Yoakum; two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Beatrice Littlejohn

Edna—Mrs. Beatrice Littlejohn, 70, died at her home here Friday.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m. Monday in the Scruggs United Methodist Church with the Rev. Billy Young officiating. Burial will be in the Kerr Cemetery near Edna.

Pallbearers will be Festus Barnes, and James, Wardell, Lawrence and Byron Brigham.

Mrs. Littlejohn was born April 18, 1910, in Jackson County.

She is survived by a son, M. B. Barnes of Victoria; a sister, Mrs. Elcina Callis of Edna; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Serviceman Found Dead In Vanderbilt - Romulo Raymond Longoria

Vanderbilt—Funeral services will be held Monday for Marine Romulo Raymond Longoria, 21, who was found dead in bed in his home here Friday morning. The Marine recently returned from duty in Vietnam and was on leave visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Juan Romo of Vanderbilt.

Justice of the Peace Charles Sembera was called and ordered an autopsy, which was performed during the day in Victoria. Late Friday the autopsy findings were incomplete, and justice Sembera will withhold his verdict until the final report is received.

Jackson County Sheriff Harvey Reynolds said Longoria was found by his mother when she arose before 8 a. m. Friday. The family called an ambulance, and the ambulance driver notified authorities.

Reynolds and Constable Emil Gendke of Vanderbilt said the youth was in a couch bed in the home, dressed except for his shoes. They estimated he had been dead three or four hours. Reynolds said there were no signs of “foul play,” and that the cause of death has not yet been determined.

Longoria ws born in Vanderbilt Jan. 23, 1950, and was a 1969 graduate of Industrial High School, where he lettered four years in football. He was a member of St Bosco’s Catholic Church here.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Monday from St. Agnes Catholic Church in Edna. Rosaries will be read at 7:30 p. m. Saturday and Sunday at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel in Edna. A full military burial service will be held in Edna Cemetery.

Survivors in addition to his parents are grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Blas Lopez of Vanderbilt and Alex Longoria of Galveston; half-brother, Johnnie Romo of Vanderbilt; and three half-sisters, Linda, Esmarela and Aild Romo, all of Vanderbilt.

Enedina “Nina” Lopez

Edna—Enedina “Nina” Lopez, 97, of Edna, passed away Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009. She was born Nov. 27, 1911, in Carrizo Springs, to the late Jose Ortiz and Frances Navarro Ortiz. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son, Freddie O. Lopez and wife Janie of Edna; granddaughters, Carol Love and husband Keith of Houston, Nancy L. Schaffer and husband Paul of Edna; grandsons, Fred Lopez and Carlos Lopez, both of Austin; and great-grandchildren, Rochne Schaffer, Alicia S. Sparkman and husband Lynn, Jon Ryon Lopez, Brooke Lopez and Brandon Lopez.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Maria de Jesus Ortiz; and brother, Frank Ortiz.

Visitation will be 6 – 7 p. m. today, Aug. 11, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p. m., at Slavik Funeral Chapel.

Rites Held for Local Man Hit by Truck – Guillermo “Willie” Lopez

Funeral services were held here Monday for Willie Lopez, 79, who died Friday night of injuries received when he was hit by a truck in downtown Edna at 4 p. m., Friday. Rev. B. Janacek officiated at the service, and burial was in the Edna Cemetery.

Mr. Lopez, a retired railroad worker, was born in Mexico, but became a U. S. citizen and had lived in Ganado and the Edna [area] the past 60 years. He is survived by his widow, Marcelina, and one son, Jesse, both of Edna; and two daughters, Josephina Ramirez and Natividad Flores, both of Houston.

City Officer Elma Carroll, who investigated, said it was an unavoidable accident. Witnesses said the truck was moving slowly and stopped as quickly as possible, after Mr. Lopez suddenly stepped from the curb and into the path of the truck. He was crossing Main at the corner of Menefee, walking south. The truck was driving west on Main Street.

He was carried to the hospital in Ganado by a Slavik ambulance, but died there late that night from head injuries. Police said no charges would be filed against M. B. Pomeroy of Houston, identified as driver of the truck involved.

Bernard "Gene" Lovelace

Bernard "Gene" Lovelace, 76, passed away September 29, 2016. Gene was born September 29, 1940 in Waco, TX to the late James Elkin and Helen Bruner Lovelace.

Gene is survived by his daughter, Tonya (Marcus) Casillas of Victoria; sister, Jennifer Lovelace of Velma, OK and grandchildren, Michael Lovelace, Cody Lovelace, Tyler Lovelace, Jesika Benavides, Jordan Benavides and Mikenna Casillas.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Lovelace; sister, Jacqueline Lovelace and an infant sister.

Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 1-2:30 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with a burial to follow at 3 PM at Red Bluff Cemetery in Lolita, TX. Published by Rosewood Funeral Home.

Michael E. Lovelace

Edna—Michael Eugene Lovelace, 33, of Edna, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000.

He was born Jan. 4, 1967, in Houston, to Bernard Eugene Lovelace of Houston and Billie Jean McFeron Percell of Edna. He was an installer at H. & H Overhead Door Company.

Survivors: wife, Wendy Kazmir Lovelace; sons, Cody Michael Lovelace and Tyler Cade Lovelace, both of Ganado and James Michael Lovelace of Houston; parents; sister, Tonya Lynn Benavides of Victoria; grandfather, James Elkin Lovelace of Velma, Okla.; grandmother, Vergie Shelton of Port Lavaca.

Visitation will be 7 to 8:30 p. m. tonight at Slavik Funeral Home chapel.

Eugene Lozano

Inez—Funeral services for Eugene P. Lozano, 52, of Inez will be held at 11 a. m. Monday at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Edna with the Rev. James Condreau officiating. A rosary will be recited at Slavik Chapel in Edna at 7:30 p. m. Sunday.

Burial will be in the Edna cemetery direction of Slavik Funeral Home.

Mr. Lozano was born Dec. 21, 1923 and had lived at Inez the past 20 years. He died Saturday in a Houston hospital. He had been custodian of the Inez school before his illness.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Maria Terez Lozano of Austin; four brothers, Oligario, Raul, Enrique and Sergio, all of Monterey, Mexico; and three sisters, Irene Aguilar, Idilia Gonzales and Idalia Ortez, all of Monterey.

Darwin Lueckemeyer

San Antonio—Darwin Lueckemeyer, 61, of San Antonio, formerly of Ganado, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005.

He was born July 29, 1944, to the late Ben and Hulda Kellman Lueckemeyer. He was a 1962 graduate of Ganado High School and Southwest Texas College, a U. S. Army Vietnam veteran, an accountant employed with Aquila Southwest Gas Co. and a member of St. James Lutheran Church of Ganado.

Survivors: former wife, Rose Ann Lueckemeyer; daughter, Kara Lueckemeyer of San Antonio; son, David Lueckemeyer of San Antonio; and one grandson.

Preceded in death by: sister, Doris Lueckemeyer; and brother, Rabon Lueckemeyer.

Visitation will be 6 – 8 today at Ganado Funeral Home chapel.

Service will be at 2 p. m. Sunday at St. James Lutheran Church of Ganado.

Rabon Lueckemeyer

Edna—Rabon Lueckemeyer, 67, of Edna, died Thursday, July 15, 2004.

He was born Oct. 30, 1936, in Brenham, to the late Ben and Hulda Kellerman Lueckemeyer. He was a retired electrician for DuPont. He was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 346, the Edna Volunteer Fire Dept., and St. James Lutheran Church of Ganado.

Survivors: wife, Patsy Roberson Lueckemeyer; daughter, Lisa Seger of Victoria; son, Lynn Lueckemeyer of Mission Valley; brother, Darwin Lueckemeyer of San Antonio; and five grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: sister, Doris Lueckemeyer.

T. Carol Lunsford

Lolita—T. Carol Lunsford, 41, of Lolita, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005.

She was born Feb. 14, 1964, in Houston, to the late Maynard B. and Ranelle Stern Hardison. She was a secretary at Texas Liquid and a member of First Baptist Church in Point Comfort.

Survivors: husband, Ronnell Lunsford; stepdaughters, Kathy Wojciechowski and Pam Downer, both of Kanapolis, N. C.; son, Jimmy Daramol of Port Lavaca; stepsons, Ronnell Lunsford Jr. and Mack Lunsford, both of Kanapolis, N. C.; sister, Mary Gennell Elliot of Fort Worth; brothers, Maynard Hardison of Houston and Randy Zapalac of Port Lavaca; seven step-children; and for step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10 a. m. to 9 a. m. today at First Baptist Church of Point Comfort.
