He was founder of the Bank of Colome, S.D. and served as its president until retiring due to ill health in 1944. A 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner, he had been in Republican politics in South Dakota, serving as auditor of Tripp County and secretary of the State Highway Commission. Mr. Pew, who was born and raised in Mesa, was office manager for Rainbo Bakery in Phoenix for 20 years before moving to Show Low. Services at the Second Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial in Mesa City Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Virginia; two sons, Walter and Michael; two daughters, Marilyn Leffler and Pat Jorgenson; two brothers; 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Scottsdale -- Services for Arthur E. Pfeiffer, 82, a past director of Northeast Shoe & Leather Association, were in Valley Presbyterian Church where he was a deacon. Mr. Pfeiffer moved here in 1969 from Massachusetts and died Oct. 14, 1979. He formed Pfeiffer, Inc., a national distribution organization for his patented, created and designed specialty footwear. He was a past registrar of the Scottsdale Rotary Club and named a Paul Harris fellow of Rotary International in January. Mr. Pfeiffer was a member of the Navy's original Golden Eagle Aviators 1193, American Legion Post 282, Arizona Country Club and a past secretary-treasurer of the Dartmouth Club. Mr. Pimentel boxed in Arizona, California, and New Mexico. He had the distinction of being a triple state champion, holding the featherweight, bantamweight and lieghtweight titles simultaneously. Survivors include his wife, Olivia; children, Ruby McCoy, Raymond, Arthur, Marshall, Robert and Joseph; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Costello and Mrs. Lupe Cox; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Hope WInchester Pratt, 74, of 4815 E. Exeter Blvd., who was active in Valley volunteer work, died Nov. 2, 1979, in Scottsdale Memorial Hospital. She moved here in 1938 from Mill Neck, Long Island, N. Y., where she was a member of the Colony Club and Garden Club. She was graduated from Foxcroft School in MIddleburg, Virginia. Her late husband, Herbert L. Pratt, was known in art circles and owned Camelback Galleries. Mrs. Pratt was a founding member of the Maricopa County Hospital Auxiliary 20 years ago. During World War II she drove an ambulance for American Red Cross in Phoenix. She also had been a driver for the Lions Club's van transportation services for the blind. Survivors include her sons, H.
