KAHLER, Robert F. "Pappy"

Sun City -- Services for Robert F. "Pappy" Kahler, 76, who retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel after serving 23 years in the Air Force, including World War II and Korea, were in Lundberg Chapel. Mr. Kahler came to Arizona in 1961 from Missouri and died Oct. 17, 1979. He graduated from the Adjutant General School in Washington, D.C., and was a member of the Retired Officers Association and a charter member of Sun City Men's Club. Survivors include his wife, Mildred C.; stepson, Dr. T. R. Murtishaw; and two grandchildren. 18 Oct 1979

KARCH, Robert N.

Robert N. Karch, 80, who moved to Phoenix 22 years ago from Alamogordo, N. M., died Oct. 19, 1979, in Good Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Karch, 2706 E. AireLibre, was a retired Civil Service quality control inspector for the Air Force's Alamogordo Missile Complex. He is survived by his wife, Anne; son, Robert J.; four sisters; two brothers; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services Tuesday at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. KATZ, Edward (Fred)

Edward (Fred) Katz died Oct. 25, 1979. He was the devoted father of Lawrence W. Katz of Phoenix and Arlene Kersnowski; brother of Sidney Abraham Saul and the late Harry; loving grandfather of Evan Lee and David Aaron Katz and Brian and Michael Kersnowski. Services were held in Jersey City, N.J. The AZ Republic Oct. 30, 1979.

KELLER, Dorothy M.

Services for Dorothy Keller M., 64, who died Oct. 24, 1979, in her home, were in Sunnyside Chapel, 614 E. Townley. Mrs. Keller, 7027 N. 15th St., moved to Phoenix in 1961 from Iowa. Surviving are her husbanad, Robert M.; children, Bobbe Jean and THomas; and two grandchildren. The AZ Republic 10/26/1979.

KELLEY, Anna Marion

Anna Marion Kelley, 92, who attended Phoenix schools after moving here in 1888 from her native Tucson, died Oct. 17, 1979, in Village Green Nursing Home. Mrs. Kelley had been a member of the Arizona Club and was a bookkeeper for Don Stone Office Supply Co. from 1954 to 1965. Her half-sister, Ruby Ferroulette, survives. Services were in A. L. Moore & Sons Chapel of Memories. The AZ Republic Oct. 20, 1979.

KELLY, George F.

George F. Kelly, 52, who lived here 51 years and worked as a trouble-shooter the past 27 years for Arizona Public Service Co., died June 30, 1979, in his home. Mr. Kelly, 3543 W. Palm Lane, was a World War II Navy veteran, a high priest counselor in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 387 and Active with the Boy Scouts. Surviving are his wife, Idonna M.; children, Georgia MORRIS, Donna SMITH, Lesli WILSON, Susan EASLEY, Nancy, Sara, Rachel, Glenn, Samuel and Ray; mother, Agnes KELLY; and 10 grandchildren. Services were in the LDS Capitol Ward. Memory Lawn Mortuary handled arrangements. Published in the Arizona Republic Friday, July 6, 1979, p. C-5.

Sun City -- Ruth W. Kelly, 61, a graduate of Bluffton College in Ohio who moved here in 1964 from Wadsworth, Ohio, died Sept. 30, 1979. Mrs. Kelly was a member of the United Church of Sun City and a founder and teacher of the Sew & Sew Club. Surviving are her husband, Claudius; mother, Amelia Whirledge of Sun City; daughter, Virginia Jean Hoge, Cleveland, Ohio; son, Claudius, Jr.; stepson Claud W. Kelly, Jr of Phoenix; brothers, William J. Whirledge of Indiana and Dr. Phillip Whirledge of Walla Walla, Washington; sisters, Sarah Bechtel, Goshen, Indiana and Carol Selman of Elkhart, Indiana. KENDALL, Paul

Paul Kendall, 85, died Oct. 22, 1979. He was retired as supervisor of the emergency traffic bureau after 42 years with the New York Telephone Co. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He moved here in 1974 from Englewood, N.J., and is survived by a sister. 24 Oct 1979

KESSAY, Walter

Whiteriver -- Walter Kessay, 62, died Oct. 18, 1979, at Public Health Services Hospital in Phoenix. He was a Fort Apache native and was a laborer. He was a member of the White Mountain Apache Indian Tribe. Survivors include two sons, Virgil and Jaspar; three daughters, Caroline Hill, Maryelle Quintero, and Carrie Ann; 18 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services were at the Assembly of God Church in Cedar Creek. 25 Oct 1979

Globe -- Private cremation was held for James King, 83, who died Sept. 28, 1979, at Gila General Hospital. Mr. King was a native of England and moved to Globe in 1919. KIRBY, James M.

Services for James Mark Kirby, 24, a student at Maricopa Technical Community College, were in Hansen Mortuary. Mr. Kirby, 5615 N. 7th St., died of auto accident injuries Oct. 31, 1979, in Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born in Phoenix. KITE, Isaac Newton

Isaac Newton Kite, 89, who had owned a garage, ambulance and towing service before moving here 30 years ago from Aberdeen, WA, died Oct. 8, 1979, in Maricopa County Hospital. He was a 52 years and life member of Elks Lodge 593. Survivors include his wife, Earlea; sons, Floyd, Leo and Del Kite; stepson, Raymond McClaskey; a sister; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Private cremation. Oct. 10, 1979.
