James Vaden Padgett, 53, a truck driver for Southwest Forest Industries, was killed in a truck accident near Globe Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1976. Wife, Betty; son, Timothy; four brothers and three sisters. 1/9/1976.

PAFFORD, Alice Brereton

Alice Brereton Pafford, 74, died Wednesday, Jan 7, 1976, in St. Joseph's Hospital. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona. She was born in Minus Prietas, Mexico, and came to Phoenix in 1923. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Moeur Pafford; children, Mrs. James C. Elms IV, and Dr. Ernest M. Pafford, Jr.; a sister; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friday, Jan. 9, 1976.

PAPANIA, Fred

Fred Papania, 90, 1407 E. Vermont, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1976. Survivors include sons, Joseph and Re; daughters, Mrs. Adrienne KLICK, Mrs. Dolores SOVY and Verna; a brother; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Rosary and Mass in the Sacred Heart Home, 1110 N. 16th St. 1/12/1976.

PARTEL, Florence

Mesa -- Florence Partel, 37, died Wed., Jan. 7, 1976, in Mesa Lutheran Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Stanley; children, Thomas, Theresa, Kathryn and Eileen; mother, Florence BRADY; a brother and a sister. Mass in Christ the King Catholic Church, 1505 E. Diana. 1/9/1976.

PEARSON, Elizabeth Ann

13 March 1907 - 11 January 1976 Elizabeth Ann Pearson, 68, lived in Phoenix from 1931 to 1975 and died Sunday, January 11, 1976, in San Diego. Survivors include children, Elizabeth Ann White, Mary Lou Brentano, Dorothy Tihkan and John; three sisters; a brother; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home. PELKE, Arthur A.

7 May 1899 - 11 January 1976 Arthur A. Pelke, 76, 10378 Pinehurst Drive, Sun City, a former Chevrolet regional service engineer, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 1976, in Boswell Hospital. He was a member of the Sundowners Lions Club in Sun City and Society of Automotive Engineers. Survivors include his wife, Margaret; a brother and two sisters.
