19 Sep 1924, pg 1, col. 4: Information contributed by Donna Blaney Tolson "DEATH IN STAFFORD Mrs. C. A. Shacklette Passes Away. Mrs. C. A. Shacklette, of Stafford county, aged 64 years, died Thursday, Sept. 18th, at her home, "Spring Dale," near Stafford Store. She was paralyzed a year ago. Her death resulted from hemorrhage of the brain. Mrs. Shacklette is survived by five sons and three daughters, Messrs. H. H. Shacklette, H. M. Shacklette, Nelson Shacklette, Earl Shacklette, of Stafford; Dr. J. R. Shacklette, of Elkton; Misses Mary A. Shacklette and Cora Shacklette and Mrs. David Arrington, of Stafford; one brother and two sisters, Mr. H. M. Tolson, of Stafford Store; Mrs. Amy Weedon, of Fredericksburg; Mrs. Spindle, of Alexandria. Funeral from the home at 2 o'clock Saturday, Sept. 20th. Burial in the family cemetery." She is buried in Harrisonburg, VA. |
