This compiler is not sure why this cemetery is named Sowers Cemetery as there are NO known burials here that are connected to the Sowers family of Floyd Co., VA. Maybe it was created from Sowers property OR there was a Sowers PO at one time & little communities developed around such places so possibly more of a community cemetery. These are only 2 guesses.
