by her loving husband of 62 years, Paul A. Duncan; sons, Gary A. Duncan &

College. She was a faithful member of Blacksburg United Methodist Church, and
enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, reading, cooking, hunting seashells
(especially at Fort Myers, FL), bluegrass music and was an avid fan of
Virginia Tech sports. One of her greatest joys was taking care of her family. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May
28, 2013, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. and from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.

Duncan, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her

Marion Lancaster, Luetta Gregory, Elfreda Duncan, and Samuel McNiel.Opal was
known for her kind, honest, reliable nature. She was there for many others during
their time of need. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend
and will be missed by all who knew her. She was a member of Cave Spring
United Methodist Church and worked at CMT Sporting Goods for overthirty
