Bridgers of Commonwealth United Methodist Church officiating. Graveside
services will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 in Copper Hill
Cemetery, Copper Hill, Va. The family will receive friends for one hour prior
to the service in the church. Born May 22,
1920, Miss Lancaster was semi-retired, having worked for Bahakel
Communications for 54 years. She had risen to the positions of Senior
Vice-President and Corporate Secretary. Having been a member of Commonwealth
United Methodist Church for 30 years, Miss Lancaster was a member of the
Wesley Circle, a teacher for the Wesley Fideles
Sunday School class and the Recording Secretary for the church's
Administrative Council. Survivors
include her two brothers, Joseph M. Lancaster (Doris) of Paris, Texas, and G.
Wallace Lancaster (Betty) of Goodview, Va.; sister, Virginia L. Manning
(Howard) of Covington, Ga.; four nieces and four nephews. In lieu of
