peacefully to be with her mother, father, all her brothers and sisters,
friends and the many others she knew and cared about who preceded her in
death on Monday, October 24, 2011. She is survived by her two daughters, Dianne Maxey, and Janet Moore and friend, David Crosswhite; her two grandsons, Neil Hylton (Zona) and Barry Hylton; and her great-grandchildren, Cady Hylton, and Lexi and Walker Nowers. She is also survived by her wonderful friends who were truly considered to be family to her and brightened each day she was able to spend with them. Frankie, known as Mammaw to her grandchildren, left us
all with a piece of her heart and taught us to love unconditionally, to
forgive, and to treat others the way you want to be treated. Frankie enjoyed
playing cards with friends and family, cooking food for others, going to
church at Colonial Presbyterian on Sundays where she was a charter member and
watching baseball. She was a loving mom and grandmother, an optimistic and
jovial woman, who was the best friend anyone could ask for. We will all miss
her dearly! Interment will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October
27, 2011, at Sherwood Memorial Park followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.
on Thursday at Colonial Presbyterian Church with, the Rev. Brent Williams
officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday,

November 24, 2004, night at the Veterans Hospital in Salem. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired employee of the Lynchburg Foundry with 30 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Shirley H. Bishop, two sons, Michael Bishop and David Bishop both of Radford, three daughters, Brenda Sowers, Christiansburg, Barbara Treolo, Draper, Karen Neice, Radford, three sisters, Opal Sutphin, Radford, Frankie Moore, Roanoke, and Geneva Thompson, Riner, five grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Nov. 27,
2004, at 2 p.m. at the West View Cemetery in Radford with Rev. Charles
Lockerby officiating. Members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military
