Funeral services for Mrs. Celia Ethel Jackson, 77, who died Friday, January 1, 1960, at her home, 4811 N. 22nd Ave., were in the Camelback Chapel and Funeral Home. Mr. Gilbert Harris officiated. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Jackson came to Phoenix three years ago. She is survived by her husband, Lester H., and a niece and nephew in Massachusetts. The AZ Republic 3 January 1960

JACKSON, Lolita

Mesa -- Funeral services for Mrs. Lolita Jackson, 51, a native of the Lehi Indian Reservation, will be today in the Papago Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mrs. Jackson died Monday, January 11, 1960, in the Phoenix Indian Hospital. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Katherine McKinley, of the Lehi reservation. JACKSON, Raymond

Florence -- Raymond Jackson, 49, of Casa Grande, died January 13, 1960, in Pinal General Hospital from injuries suffered Monday, Jan. 11, 1960, in a three-car collision. Deputy Joe Boggs of the Pinal County Sheriff's office said Jackson was injured at Borree's Corner, one mile west of Coolidge. Relatives in Texas were notified. His body was taken to COle and Maude Mortuary. Thursday, January 14, 1960.

JAFFEE, William

The Masonic funeral committee will officiate at services Monday for William Jaffee, 53, Phoenix optometrist who died Wednesday (6 Jan 1960) in a hospital here. The services for Mr. Jaffee, who came to Phoenix from Boston, Massachusetts, a year ago and resided at 1927 W. Orangewood, will be in F. E. Ackerman and Sons Funeral Home, 710 W. Bethany Home. Interment will be at Memory Lawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, Grace, and three sisters, Jeanne and Helen Jaffee, both of New York City, and Mrs. Edith Stein, of Massachusetts. JOHNSON, Edward Allen

Rites Held For Native Arizonan
Masonic funeral services were held in San Diego Saturday for Edward Allen Johnson, 64, native Arizonan and former Phoenix resident, who died Wednesday in a San Diego hospital. Entombment in Greenwood Mausoleum there. Mr. Johnson, a resident of San Diego the past 37 years, had been a partner in Markel-Johnson Co., a poultry firm. Born in Jerome, he lived in McCabe two years before coming to Phoenix with his parents. He attended old Central School and was graduated from Phoenix Union High School. Mr. Johnson, prominent in Masonic circles in California, was a past master of San Diego Masonic Lodge No. 35 and treasurer of the lodge at his death. He was a 33rd Degree Mason. He is survived by his wife, Helen R.; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Snyder, Modesto, Calif., and Mrs. Allen Holbrook, Oakdale, Calif., and a brother, A. F. Johnson, San Diego. JOHNSON, Horton L.

Services and burial for Horton L. Johnson, 49, who died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1960, in Good Samaritan Hospital, were in Marshall, Missouri. Mr. Johnson, a native of Marshall who came to Phoenix two years ago, lived at 3050 N. 39th St. He had been employed by Overland Machine Products of Phoenix. He is survived by his wife, Ila Mae; a son, Jerry, Phoenix; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Wales, Independence, Missouri; his mother, Mrs. Ida B. Johnson, Lexington, MO; two brothers, James, Scottsdale, and Giles, Manhattan, Kansas; and two grandchildren. 28 January 1960
