My forefather lived in Goochland County, enlisted in the Revolutionary Army in Williamsburg and
served with the 5th Virginia Regt. of Foot and mustered out in Valley Forge. My research shows
that folks from Bedford Co, served in the 5th. Was there a uniform or did they dress as militia?
If there was a uniform for the Regt. do you know where I could obtain a print of a soldier in
that uniform? Thanks for your assistance.

DOSS, HANEY, HENNEY, PRESTON,
VAUGHAN -
I am searching for the parents and siblings of William Haney, a Rev. War Veteran. His wife
was Sarah Susan Preston, daughter of Philip Preston and Mary Vaughan
Preston Doss. Their marriage bond lists Mikel Henney as giving permission
for William and Mary Doss for Sarah. William may have had two brothers, Isaac and
Benjamin. Wm and "Sally" moved to Floyd Co. KY around 1805 but they may have lived for a while in
PA after first leaving VA. Their son, Samuel lists his POB as PA in 1805.

KERR, STANLEY -
I am fairly certain that my ggg grandfather Isham Kerr from VA who moved to IL by 1830 is
the same Isham Kerr of Bedford Co VA who married Edith Stanley. I am trying to
reconstruct the Bedford County Kerr family and could sure use some help if there are any
Kerr researchers out there. All information is greatly appreciated.
