I have recently found in the War of 1812 records for my gt. gt. grandfather, Asa Waters, that he returned home to Bedford Co. at the end of his term of service. I have never known where in VA he lived before he migrated to Montgomery Co. TN Does anyone know of a Waters family living in Bedford in 1814. Tennessee census records indicated that Asa was born in VA in about 1795. Would appreciate and information.

Wish to find the parents names of John Campbell born in Bedford County Feb 6, 1761. John Campbell enlisted in the Virginia State Militia June 1778. I believe the parents of John came to Virginia From Pennsylvania.

Benjamin Price WITT, born 1827 in Bedford Co. married Frances Vivian Roberts on July 12, 1847. She may have been the daughter of Thomas and Lucretia Roberts. Who were his parents? What are the death dates for this couple? Does anyone know where they are buried? Did they have any children? If you have any info on this couple, would you please share it? Thanks.

I'm looking for the family of Jewel W. ANGELINE. She m. William RYON and their dau. Angeline RYON m. Joel Leftridge JAMES on 8-22-1831 in Bedford Co, VA. (They also had a son Joshua RYON who m. Martha Ann MADDRA 1823, Bedford Co, VA). I need to find Jewel W. ANGELINE's parents & siblings. Both of these RYON children moved to Taylor Co, KY, then to Grayson Co, TX. Searching for information about Cicero BURKS who married Caroline TINSLEY, probably before 1857. They had a son, S.Cicero BURKS, who was born about 1857 in Amherst County VA. S.Cicero married Elizabeth C. MAGANN on 4 Oct 1881 in Amherst County. Children of S.Cicero and Elizabeth "Lizzie" were: Ida-Bell, Annie, Benjamin, Irene, Edward, Nathaniel, Nora, Roland, Elizabeth, ?William, and ?Thomas. I want to find out who Cicero descended from. I was told Cicero may have lived earlier in Bedford Co. Cicero may be his middle name.
