I am searching for the parents of John SEXTON born ca. 1756 in Virginia. He joined 14th
Va. Regt. Revolutionary War in Charlotte County. Served 3 years with Gen. Washington. Discharged
1780. Married Mary Ann GILBERT, Bedford, Va. March 1780. Lived in Grayson County until
ca. 1813, when he moved to Buncombe Co. N.C. Died in Greene County, Tn. on July 4, 1844.

Looking for information regarding John GRAY (1772 - 1838). It was reported in the 1930's
that Dr. Robert Christian NININGER of Roanoke County, Virginia had in his possession a
family Bible with the following inscription: "John GRAY is my name, Virginia is my
nation, and Bedford County's my dwelling place, and Christ is my salvation." It was also
reported that the Bible also carried the following: "Purchased by Richard GRAY June
5, 1772, from John Earkon, Price seventy schillings, Colonies of Pennsylvania"

Searching for parents and other ancestors of Henry PRICE b. 1769ca Bedford, Augusta, or
Fincastle Counties, VA. Died 1808 and buried at Presbyterian Church in Bedford. Augustus
PRICE and Daniel PRICE may have been his brothers. Henry PRICE married
Catherine WAX in 1787 in Winchester, VA. The family moved to Hawkins County, TN shortly
after their marriage and Henry died of typhoid fever while on a trip back to Bedford in 1808.

McCLANAHAN, NEEL -
Seeking any information about my ancestor, John McCLANAHAN from Bedford County. John
McCLANAHAN and Absolom McCLANAHAN were part of the Virginia Militia that fought at
the Battle of Point Pleasant. It is believed that John McCLANAHAN had a daughter,
Elizabeth McCLANAHAN from whom I am descended. They moved to Jefferson County, Tennessee
by 1800 when Elizabeth married David NEEL.
