Whereas Wm Bashaw, an orphan was bound an apprentice to Ralph Horsley who (by Indenture) was to teach the sd Bashaw his trade being a taylor and whereas the sd Horsley is now decd & the said orphan since under the guardianship of Mr James Hauley administrator of the sd Horsley, his trade altogether being neglected to be taught him, The Cort doth therefore order that the sd Mr. Hauley shall forthwth put in Security for performance of the premises according to Indenture and that the sd orphane shall continue his sd trade till the expiration of his time by Indenture & if the sd Mr. Hawley shll refuse or neglect to put in Security as aforsd or to teach the sd orphan his trade then hee to be free from the sd Mr Hawley & likewise the sd Mr Hawley to pay Cort charges. Hen: deBoyes being left in ye Parish, a poor orphant, is by this Cort ordered to serve Wm Bashaw (being now judged to be twelve years of age) untill he comes to ye age of one & twenty yeares, ye sd Bashaw or his assigns providing for ye sd child, during ye sd terme, all things convenient for an apprentice to have, at ye expiration thereof to pay him a good cow wth calf, or a calf by her side.  OB 1678-98, part 1, 154.

Jno Price an infant child son of Eliza Price six yeares old ye 3d of this instant is by ye Court wth ye consent of his mother bound and apprentice to serve Andrew Brashaw & his wife or either of them untill he attaines ye age of twenty one yeares ye sd Andrew in Court hereby obligeing himselfe to teach ye sd Jno his trade of a Carpenter, dureing ye sd term to find him sufficient convenient dyett washing and lodging, to give him a heifer at ye age of sixteen years and her future female increase, & at ye expiration of ye sd terme to give him too [two] suits of apparrell, one of serge & ye other of Kersey provided nevertheless yt [that] if ye sd Andrew & his now wife shall dye [die] before ye sd time expired ye sd Jno shall be free anything herein contained contrary notwithstanding.  OB 1678-98, part 2, 704.

Edward Williams vs. James Johnson, Richard Pemberton and William Howard: a tract of land formerly belonging to Robert Bradshaw and sold by Bradshaw to Edw Williams his father and ye sd Williams to James Claughton and by Claughton to Johnson, Pemberton and Howard, under pretence of a deed, wherein ye sd Bradshaw did oblige himself to get a patent for ye sd. Land, in ye name of Temperance, ye Mother of ye first mentioned Edw. Williams and attradged (?) yt ye Edward Williams Sen'r ye plt's father sold ye sd. Land unto ye sd. Claughton without consent of ye sd. Temperance, ye Plt's Mother, in whom ye right of ye sd. Land laye, and land not affected by this.  The suit dismissed.

Richard Rice att. of Edward Williams heire unto Temperance Bradshaw vs. Robert Bradshaw, who marryed Anne, duaghter and heire of Robert Bradshaw [Bradley], dec'd, judgement for 345 acres.
