In the name of God amen, I, JAMES HARRISON, of Northumberland County
and St. Stephen's Parish being weak and infirm in Body but of sound and
perfect mind and memory do make and I ordain this my last will and
testament in manner and form following that is to say first my will and
desire is that all my Just debts and funeral charges to be paid out of
my estate by my Executors hereinafter named.
Item I give and bequeath
to my dear son BENJAMIN HARRISON all the tract or parcel of Land which I
now hold in the County of Northumberland to him and his heirs forver but
my desire is that my dear wife GRACE HARRISON have her third part of
said Land during her natural life
Item I give to dear daughter MOLLY
HARRISON my negro Girl LAVINER
Item I give to my dear wife GRACE
HARRISON my Bay Mare and her side saddle
Item my desire is that all
debts due to me at present by Bond Judgment or otherwise appropriated
towards the maintenance of my said wife and BENJAMIN HARRISON and MOLLY
HARRISON education
Item all the rest of my Estate I leave to be
equally divided Between my said wife and Child BENJ. HARRISON before
mentioned to him and his heirs forever
Lastly I constitute and
ordaine my brother SAMUEL HARRISON my Hole and sole Executor of this my
last will and Testament herey revoking all other former Wills or
devis(sic) by me made ratifying confirm this and no other to be my last
Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my and hand
and seal this 12th day of November one thousand seven hundred and eighty
eight.

At a
Court held for Northumberland County at the Court house on monday the
8th of June 1789 This Will was proved by the oaths of GEORGE WILLIAMS,
WILLIAM BREWER and WILLALA (sic) HARRISON the witnesses thereto and
ordered to b recorded and at a Court held for thr said County at the
Courthouse on onday the 13th day of July following SAML HARRISON the
Exor. named in the said Will this day appeared and relinquished his
right of Exorship thereto and on the motion of GRACEY HARRISON admor
with the said will annexed is granted her whereupon the said GRACEY
together with WALTER JONES her security entered into and acknowledged
their bond in the penalty of 500 pounds as the Law directs
