John Bradshawe Will Northumberland County Virginia

In the Name of God Amen,  I John Bradshawe being weake of body yett of perfect memory God be praised doe heartily make my last Will & Testament.  Impremis I bequeath my Soule unto God my Redeemer and Saviour and my body to be buried Christian like between my Daughters in my Brothers Orchard.
  Item I give to my Wife, Temperance, Three hundred fourty & five acres of Land onely my Will is that William Hill should have Sixt acres of Land lying over against George Nott butting against a marked tree of Laurence Damerill & that the said William Hill should peaceably enjoy the said Land at the age of 21 yeares; And if in case my Wife should dye without issue that the said Land should fall by heritage to my Brother, Roberts, First Child, & for to goe from generation to generation to the name of Bradshawes springing from their loines & never to be sold nor mortgaged, And likewise when all my debts are satisified that my Wife should peaceably enjoy all my good within my House & alsoe my Cattle without dores which are in number six.  2 Cows one yeare old.  Bull one yeare old, Steere & 2 weaning bull calves, with all my stock of hoggs, both old & young. onely my Will is that my Brother should have my Hatt, my Gunn, my wearing cloathes & two rasers, & my Bookes, & likewise my Will is that my Wife should be full & wholly my Executrix: & my Brother, Robert Bradshawe & my loveing Neighbour, Anthony Linton, to be my Overseers for to aide & assist my Wife & to see this Will of mine performed, as Wittness my hand & seale the 12th day of July 1655
