WILL OF REBECCA CRUTE
November 17 1756
In the name of God amen. I Rebeccah Crute of St.
Stephens Parish in Northumberland County
being sick and weak of body
but of sound and perfect memory thanks be unto almighty God for
the
same and calling to mind the uncertain estate of this transtory life and
that all must appeal
unto death when it shall please God to call do
make and ordain this my last will and testament in
manner and form
following first I bequeath my soul to God that gave it me and my body to
the
earth from whens it was taken to be buried in a decent and
Christain like manner at the
discretion of my exceutor hereafter in
those presents nominated and as touching of such
worldly estate
wherewith it hath pleased God to endue me in this life I give and
dispose of the
following manner of form, Imprimas, I give and
bequeath unto my loving son James Blinco one
large Iron pott, Item I
give and bequeath unto my daughter Francis Conley two wheels onslining
and other woding and my mars of one small iron pottons putor dish and
six plates, Item I give to
my son Richard Crute my best bed and
furniture. Item I give unto my son John Blinco my bull.
Item I give
unto my daughter Susannah Standley one brown heffer and one sow of six
pigs and
too horses. Item I give unto my daughter Catharine Pare one
shilling sterling. Item I give unto
my grandson William Blinco Son of
John Blinco and Mary his wife my mare colt, Item I give unto
my
daughter Francis Conley my brindle heifor and one tub of piggins. Item
all the rest of my
personal estate I give and bequeath unto my loving
Son Richard Cruite and I do hereby appoint
my loving son Richard
Cruite executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and
annulling all other former wills heretofore made or caused to be made or
by word or writing
satisfying and confirming this to be my last will
and testament and no other in witness where of
I have hereunto set my
hand and seale this seventeenth day of November Anno Dom.

At a court held for Northumberland County the 13th day
of December 1756. This last will and
testament of Rebeccah Cruite
deceased was this day presented in Court by Richard Cruite the
Executor therein named who made oath there to according to law and the
same being proved
by the oath of Peter Lamkin and Giles Sampford
Bogges two of the witness is there to was
ordered to be recorded and
on the motion of the said Richard Crute certificate is granted him
for obtaining aprobat thereof in due form.
